Since 1985 I have had two jaw surgeries, a styloidectomy, and an anterior disectomy and fusion of a herniated disc in my neck. The disc fusion took place in 1998 and while all the numbness and tingling went away and the pain was reduced, I had limited range of motion and extreme stiffness in my neck. It took several years to recover. To add to the problem, my work was becoming more stressful and it soon became normal to work 60+ hours a week. Then my weight started going up, my blood pressure and cholesterol levels rocketed up. I was taking medication for arthritis, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, sinus problems and anti-depressants to help me sleep. I was approaching 50 and knew I did not want to be like my mother who goes to doctors 3-4 times a month and takes 15 different prescriptions.
I had been getting massage therapy for a couple of years and it was improving range of motion. I had read numerous books about food and nutrition in my search for a better way but still felt something else could be done to improve my health. Thankfully a friend shared this program with me and it has changed my life.
