Hi,
I have been very curious about fasting for a long while now. My health has had its ups and downs and I am hoping to achieve a new level of health with this program.

I am a software engineer that has had a career in the music biz as well, and currently my hobbies include weight training, computers and music.
I have been reasonably healthy except for having asthma, some allergies and hay fever, and bad acne as a teenager for which doctors gave me anti-biotics for years.

The asthma and the acne are gone but for the last few years I have developed a group of symptoms that has made my life quite difficult.

Doctors have ran all the standard tests and have come up with nothing other than chronic sinusitis for which anti-biotics were prescribed.

Symptoms:

-Stuffy sinuses that seem to get worse after eating.
-Dizziness and full feeling in the ear canal.
-Buzzing or ringing in ears as well as clicking sounds.
-Strange red skin blemishes that come and go that don't itch or hurt but just stay for weeks and then disappear.
-Bad eye pain, like a sinus problem as well as bloodshot eyes especially upon waking.
-Diarrhea, foul smelling stools containing a tan-colored silt-like material, frequent bowel movements.
-Gas, bloating.
-very itchy anus, can see blood on toilet paper at times.
-noisy, rumbling digestive system.
-feeling pressure in bowel, like a BM is imminent even if it isn't.

Doctors have of course diagnosed me as having IBS - the acronym is a subtle pun and describes exactly what the doctors are doing :)

Frustrated that noone could diagnose what was wrong and noticing a correlation between my digestion and my sinuses, in desperation I decided to try a 10-day fast.

I was amazed at how good I felt. I finally remembered what it was like to feel normal.
I was also amazed at what came out of me during the fast. I noticed one or two of those black ropes that HPS has pictures of along with alot of mucus and this yellow phlegm-like material. Within minutes of passing this stuff I felt better.

I felt good for a couple of months and nearly all the symptoms went away, but then they came back after being constipated for a couple of days.

So I feel a deeper cleanse might help and that is why I am here. Fasting obviously helped me and after seeing what came out of me I want it all out!

That's it for now, sorry to be so long.
Happy cleaning,
Paul_G

Welcome Paul!

After reading your intro, I can see why you found this community. You need to cleanse your body, and seems as if you already understand this. I suspect you will notice many many changes in your health after your Level 1. And if you keep pursuing this path, many of your current problems will be extinct in a few months from now. I can barely remember some of my health issues as they have neen gone for so long now.

You have many people here who have been where you are or are cleansing for the first time. We are all wishing you success and will help you with anything. Don't be scared to ask questions; this cleansing group is one of your greatest tools!

Looking forward to seeing your cleansing posts!

warmly, Melody.

Well thanks Melody, for your comments. I am very much looking forward to having extinct health problems :)

I am not scared about asking questions as I am fascinated by the potential of this program and the way the body deals with what we throw at it, and our digestive/immune system.
I definitely feel toxic and can hardly wait to feel light and energetic again with a clear head and positive attitude.

I plan on documenting my whole cleanse with digital pictures, and would like to compare with others what the experience was like. I have come to accept that the bowel is not something to be ashamed of and is just another important element in our health. I get lots of exercise to keep my heart and lungs strong so why neglect the bowel, the source of my sustenance?

Thanks for your encouragement on my journey,
Paul

Welcome Paul,

I feel sure that with this program your health will have all ups and no downs.

That's funny about IBS. I have found relief for ailments for which doctors said there was no cure.

Welcome, Paul.

This is the place to be. I believe that as you progress through the levels of this cleansing program, you will be relieved of all of your ills. You really do have the power to heal yourself.

Fasting really is amazing. Animals fast when they are sick. It is only humans who keep on eating, thinking that whatever is wrong will just go away.

I will be here to support you as you go through your cleanse. I kept a journal of my daily cleanses, plus what I wrote on the board during my formal. I did not take pictures though. Some things were just better left unrecorded.

:)
Love,
Tisha

Thanks for the kind words. I am grateful for the support and I'm sure I will have lots of questions along the way. About photos, seeing Jos-hua photos were one of the compelling reasons that I decided to do this. Seeing someone else's results is confirmation that cleansing is necessary. I find it oddly fascinating to see the strange things our bodies are holding onto but look forward to the day when mine isn't holding onto it anymore.
