Hello again, Jos-hua and cleansing friends,
I'm back, after being away for about 2 months, while I caught up on other areas of my life and celebrated the holidays. Yesterday I commited to doing Levels 2, 3 and 4!
Last Fall, while at a beach retreat with my Nikken upline, a gal gave me a foot massage that I found to be painful.
(Nikken is a wellness technologies company dedicated to helping people live balanced lives, with healthy body, mind, family, society and finances and is where my journey actually began Feb 19, 1999)
She said "Joanne, you have a very toxic colon!" "Great!" thought I! (I was 75 lbs overweight, diabetic and have an apple shape.)
In spite of being a nurse and using Nikken products for over 3 years, I knew little, if anything, about colon toxicity or what to do about it. So the following Friday, I did a yahoo search and voila - I found HPS-online. spent most of that afternoon reading on the sight and, as they say, the rest is history.
I had NO IDEA this was going to entail so much! I believed Jos-hua when he said "7-day wonder". Actually, it was more like 3 weeks out of my life. As I recall, I got little else done during pre-cleanse and the actual cleanse. I DID it, however, and am so glad that I was able, with help, to do so.
The BIGGEST surprise during the cleanse was the I got tired of sweet fruit juice! Unless you too are a diabetic, the hugeness of that is hard to understand. If you ARE a diabetic, I need say no more.
The BIGGEST benefit is related. I no longer crave the sweets! I still want them, but the craving is gone and again, for me, that's huge. I did eat them over the holidays though. Upon returning to town, I went and had a Lipid Profile and Blood Glucose level drawn. I hadn't done so since last July. The fasting Blood Glucose
was 225. That prompted me to think I had better keep going with this program. Then, I got an email yesterday, reminding me that it is time to do so. ("When the student is ready, the teacher comes.")
Personally, I am the widowed mother of 4 single adults. Amy is a 26 year old teacher. Matt is about to turn 24 and is a Navy sonar technician, stationed in San Diego, at the moment. Mike is about as overweight as I am and he is 21 and Mark is 19 and is very small physically. The younger two still live with me, go to school and have part-time jobs. We also have two Boston Terriers - Grace and Maverick.
I look forward to sharing 2003 with each and every one of you. I trust I'll be able to help, as well as be helped, to understand, as well as be understood and to encourage, as well as be encouraged.
Happy New Year!
Joanne
