Hello,
First & foremost, I am very excited about moving into Level 3; it seemed so far off when I started cleansing in June of 2002, and now here I am!
My diet has really improved since I began this journey, and I am looking to really enforce the changes I have made. To date, I have cut out diet cokes, most sweets, canned foods, the microwave and milk for both myself and my son. I have developed a taste for many vegetables that I used to not even go near and incorporate raw & steamed veggies into my diet most every day.
In addition, I want to become more consistent in my deep breathing and tibs. I was doing great but got lazy when the weather turned cold. I would like to start them back up and do them just as I brush my teeth every morning and night. I want these 2 elements to become part of my daily routine.
I don't have any great expectation for the Level 3 cleanse itself; I just hope it will be a strong reinforcement for all that I have done thus far. However, I would like to reach my ascending colon during this cleanse, but I am not going to expect it so as I will not be disappointed if I do not get all the way across my transverse colon to the *goat shit*. If it happens, cool; if it doesn't, I'll get there next time. No sweat; it's not like I don't have the rest of my life.
I plan on going the full 10 days for this cleanse as I was only able to cleanse for 7 days during my first 2 levels. I will begin my precleanse during the 2nd week of Febuary and my formal during the 2nd week of March.
love & light, Melody.

Melody,
You have made some important changes in your lifestyle and what a priceless gift you are giving your son by starting him on the best path to true health at such a young age. Sounds as if you have a great attitude for your level 3 cleanse which will truly serve you to bring about the best results! Wishing you the best.

Welcome back for level 3, Melody.
I guess we will be cleansing around the same time.
You are sure ambitious in wanting to go for 10 days, and knowing that already. I was glad when my seven days were over each time. :D I guess I will have to see if I feel like cleansing for 10 days. I can't imagine wanting to at this point. But I will be there to cheer you on!
Love,
Tisha

Hi Melody,
Nice to see you are moving on to level 3. You too, Tisha. If either of you are interested, I made an Excel spreadsheet of my schedule for the precleanse and the postcleanse. There is a lot to do and remember and this helped me keep it all straight. I would be happy to send it to you and you can adjust/adapt it to your own schedule. If you don't have Excel, but have MS Works, I'm sure I can copy it into that. Just send me an email at frand12002@yahoo.com if you would like it.
Melody, I am curious. Have you noticed any changes in your son since changing his diet? Also, is he OK with the no soda, sweets etc. or has it been a fight?

Fran,
I would love a copy of your excel schedule. I did send you an email in regards to same but am not sure if you received it.
As for my son, it has been a battle! Since I had never really eaten veggies prior to the last 6 mos, neither has he his whole life. He is 6-yrs old and already very set in his dietary ways.
Basically, I have tried tweaking little things here & there instead of cutting everything out cold turkey. For example, we only drink water at the house, and he is allowed to order a soda if we go out to eat (which is not often anymore). I bought a brita water tank that you fill up and place in the fridge. It sits where he can reach it and go and get his OWN water. He thinks that is very cool.
As far as veggies are concerned, our progress has been very slow. I can finally get him to eat baby carrots but only if they are swimming in ranch dressing. I figure carrots in ranch are better than no carrots at all. He likes steamed corn and cauliflower provided I drizzle butter over them. I am still having trouble w/ fresh green beans (as opposed to canned), tomatoes and any type of leafy green. He also refuses broccoli. In addition, he will only eat bananas and drink very little of juiced apples and watermelon when it comes to fruits.
It has been an effort to remove sweet stuff. I have cut out buying any tupe of sweets. I bake one dessert per month, and when that runs out that is it. He is allowed to have a piece of hard candy if he finishes his dinner, veggies included. It hasn't been easy, but we are making progress.
Fortunately, I never gave him white bread, only 100% whole wheat, so at least we do not have a problem there. But I swear that if I am lucky enough to be blessed with another child, that I will not do them the disservice I have done my son. I will only feed him/her fruits and veggies and good stuff.
Oh yeah, I have taken away milk which has presented a breakfast problem for us. He has always eaten milk and cereal for breakfast and constantly asks me when I am going to buy milk again. I have supplemented breakfast w/ toast, bananas, nuts, chocolate soy milk, organic waffles, etc. However, I have noticed that this is the first autumn/fall that he has not had his congested cough thing he gets every year during this time. It usually lasts about 2 mos. I have had him off of milk since June and have yet to see a stopped up nose or congestion or anything of that sort. Actually, he hasn't even suffered a minor cold! I find that very interesting.
Our new diet has definitely been an issue in our house, but I've a strong feeling he will thank me later!
xo, Melody.

Hi Melody! It is great to see that you are going to be starting Level 3 soon. I believe that Saurabh and I are also going to be doing Level 3 around that time, we are not exactly sure on the dates yet though.
I found what you had to say about how your son is reacting to the 'new' eating lifestyle interesting. All a little bit at a time.. babysteps.
Look forward to meeting you sometime soon!
Much Love,
Sumina
