Hello Everyone,
I'm a 29 year old full time firefighter/paramedic and on my days off I work as a part/full time carpenter. I'm married for about 4 years. My wife and I have a very strong relationship we support each other in every aspect of our lives. I'm happy to say that we were recently blessed with a beautiful baby girl whom we absolutly adore.
About a year and a half ago I did a cleanse similar to this one. It involved drinking a herbal mixture without doing the colonic. The reason I did this was my body was breaking out in hives and I also had eczema on my lower leg that became infected. Many dermatologists and antibotics later the problems would not go away. Finnaly I went to a holistic doctor who recomended that clense. Along with the holistic doctor I went to an acupunctuerist who supplemented this treatment and the problems went away. Now, after over a year the hives are returning. My wife encoraged me to cleanse again and she started searching the web. Fortunatly, we came across this program. We thought about it for a couple months and realized that we needed to change our bad habits which include; coffee, beer, red meat, pork, and lots of dairy. I have planned a vacation in february for the formal cleanse and am trying to get familar with the program. I am very optimistic about this cleanse and also nervous but I know with the support of my wife and all of you everything will be just fine.
Sincerely ,

Erik,
Welcome, and good luck with your journey. I got rid of muscle aches and lost 10 pounds before I did my formal cleanse -- just by food combining. It's fun to learn, change habits, and see the results. This keeps you motivated.

Hi Erik,
Welcome to the group. I'm glad you have the time off for the formal cleans. With the work you do you would not realy be able to do the formal and work.
You have started on a great journy to good health. This is the first step and changes will come as you are ready.
Love and light

Hi Eric,
Welcome to the group. I think you have come to the right place to find the answer to your health problems. The cool thing is that what you learn here you can teach to your daughter. She will have such a headstart in her young life by being taught the correct ways from the start.
Good luck on your level 1.
Love,
Tisha

Welcome Erik:
You certainly picked the right site. Everyone here is very helpful and caring.
Don't be nervous. Easily said. I think we all were the first time around, but about the second or third day of your formal you will wonder what you were nervous about. It is an easy program to follow.
It would be wise to make notes etc. There is a lot of reading and it can make you feel overwhelmed. If you have any questions at all, please ask. We are here to help you.
What a wonderful way to show your love to your family by adopting a healthier lifestyle, not only for you, but for all of you, especially your daughter, being raised in an environment that teaches proper eating habits.
Welcome aboard.
Marilyn

Welcome Eric,
You will indeed be successful. I was also a bit nervious about starting, but found all the support made things easy. I am happy to hear about how supportive things will be for you at home. That will certainly make it even easier.
Congratulations on your new cleaner body. Perhaps I am a bit premature, but I am certain with your attitude, it's a certainty.
Love and light,

Erik;
This will serve you tremendously. I have had food allergies in the past and cleansing can really take care of them. Watching the diet is going to be important for you. You certainly have the opportunity to learn more about that here.
So good going -- take care of yourself so you can take care of that little girl in your life.
Twenty nine is a sweet age to be learning about this stuff.

Wow! Thank for all your replies and support. The past few days I find myself feeling guilty about the food I'm eating and I want to start eating better meals RIGHT NOW. Anyway, I've been reading all your posts to me and the E-mail too, I'ts comforting to know that I not alone.
Thankyou all,

Hi Erik,
Welcome to the group.
Soon after my cleanse, I realized I was allergic to wheat. Someone in the group mentioned that many people with eczema have wheat allergies. During the precleanse and cleanse you are not allowed to have wheat. When I started eating whole-wheat toast my eczema returned. I stopped eating anything with wheat flour. No more eczema! I wonder if the same is true for you.
I look forward to reading your posts.

Hi Erik,
You are definately not alone. We are all on this journey together. It is good to have this support rather than trying to go the journey alone. I'm glad you found this site.
Don't feel too guilty about food choices. That has been discussed before. It is good that you are wanting to change RIGHT NOW :), just don't feel badly if you slip up and eat something not so good for you. This is all such a learning process.
Love,
Tisha

Hey Erik,
I found that when I was too hard on myself, I didn't really give myself freedom of movement to figure out what was good for me. What felt good or bad, and what my body really wanted.
Remember this is a life long path you are on, you will take some rests along the way, and you will learn. Just listen to your body and be aware of how it reacts to the different foods. That feedback will be all it takes for you to change your habits.
It has been far easier for me to keep to eating healthier foods when I feel the benefit. Doing it just cause you should is hard to sustain.
Start eating better RIGHT NOW and notice how you feel.
Love and light,

Hello Erik:
Glad you decided to join HPS. This will be a wonderful adventure for you, and also a great gift to your loved ones. It will be awesome if some of "the brothers" and sisters (?) notice your positive benefits and are curious....
People in your work are deserving of our admiration and gratitude, I have noticed most of y'all are of a giving spirit, and we appreciate you.
Will be looking forward to your progress and participation.
Best wishes,
Claudette:cool:
