Hello everyone. I'm a 36 year old teacher and married to a wonderful, supportive man. In the last four years my health has been slowly getting worse meaning more food allergies, a diagnosis of a spastic colon, and less energy. Even though I exercise regularly and have tried different products with some success, I am not getting well. I stumbled onto this site about a year ago, and I skipped it because I thought it was too much work. I realize now I just wasn't ready. However, I am ready now to take the necessary steps to get my life back and do away with this spastic colon. Getting rid of those food allergies too would just be icing on the cake. I look forward to being a part of the HPS group.

Hi Rhonda,
Happy to see you finally decided to make the choice to better health. You won't reget your move. Jos-hua has detailed this program out very well, and has made it easy and fun. The answers you are looking for to your health issues will soon be resolved.
Being involved within such a great support group well amaze you how important this aspect of the cleanse is too. I'm looking forward to being part of your cleansing journey and happy to hear you have the support of your mate.
Love and Light,

Rhonda, welcome to HPS. I’m glad to see that you are ready to take this step. HPS, of course, definitely addresses your colon condition, i.e, it will help you with the cause rather than treating the symptoms.
By the way, what are your particular symptoms?

Hello Stephen and Janaka and everyone,
Thanks for the warm welcome. I am excited to start the cleanse and begin the healing process. Just thinking about a start date still.
In answer to your question Janaka, the symptoms I experience with the spastic colon are moderate to severe constipation and flatulence. I know the more stressed I am, the worse the constipation is. About two years ago I saw a specialist because I was concerned about all this constipation leading to colon cancer. The necessary tests were done, and I was told there was nothing wrong. I told the doctor all this constipation and gas can't be healthy, and he suggested medication which I declined due to the side effects. In addition, I've had the food allergies since childhood; I don't tolerate any dairy products, wheat, or tomatoes. I'll eat the latter two and get a runny nose and upset stomach. With the dairy products, I get terribly constipated and a severe headache so I rarely eat these. I've even had trouble with some of my safe foods in the last couple of years.
Just wanted to mention that before I joined HPS, I read through lots of testimonials and was so impressed with the kindness and caring words that members provided each other. Thank you both.
Best wishes to everyone, Rhonda

Rhonda, isn't it amazing that a doctor would tell you nothing's wrong and suggest drugs that could MAKE something wrong! I'm glad you came here.
You are not alone, of course, with having a reaction to dairy, wheat and tomatoes. We don't need any of those, so they are good to give up anyway.

Rhonda,
I'm glad you are ready to do this work, because it will be the best thing you've ever done for yourself. Your condition is reversible, and you will be amazed at how quickly that can happen if you just follow the program step by step.
Is your blood type A?

Hi Rhonda-
Happy to see you made it back to HPS. I have to 2nd Louise. It is the best thing you'll do for yourself.
Good luck with dates. I guess being a teacher will give you some advantages in that department. :D

Rhonda,
These are foods that are deadly for me. I suffered from fibromyalgia for years. It went into high gear after I worked the graveyard shift for over two years.
Food allergies/sensitivities come into play when the immune system is compromised. There is a book you should read (or at least get the charts if you can) called Eat Right for Your Type by Peter J. D'Adamo. It's not a bible, but it works for a lot of people. It can also be used in conjunction with other general principles like food combining, alkalinity, 80/20, etc.
Find out your blood type and check out the recommendations. After six cleanses, I am still trying to work this all out, because my immune system is still compromised.
One thing that is really good is that as soon as you do a Level 1, you begin to be clean enough that you can evaluate how you react to certain foods. Especially if you introduce them one at a time back into your diet after a cleanse.
I've had experiences where I got stiff all over (like the old fibromyalgia days) and then remembered that I'd eaten a stromboli (flour, tomato, veggies, and cheese (=wheat, dairy, tomatoes) for lunch.
There are wonderful things to learn and put into practice. Enjoy your journey!

Welcome to our online interactive community Rhonda.
Yes as you mentioned Rhonda there is a lot of loving kindness going on here... and that is a tremendous support for anyone who had decided to make the effort to change their health and well being...
What makes it all even more fantastic is that everyone here is a walker, no talkers who aren't walking, but walkers who are talking... and that is very very valuable to you as you go through the program and all the processes of healing and rejuvenation, health renewal and energy expansion.
I am absolutely confident that you are going to be amazed at where you stand a year from now... I mean sure already from your level 1 you will recognize that a lot is going to happen and a lot of good things already are happening, but take a good look where you stand today and try to imagine where you would be next year if you didn't do HPS cleansing... I want it to seep in real good, because you are about to totally transform your health the quick, easy pocket friendly way...
Enjoy your HPS cleansing journey. We all are here with you, for you. HPS, it is a cooperative effort... the name says it all- Helping People Survive.
Peace, love and light, jos-hua

Hi Rhonda,
Welcome! It's heartening to see that even with a year's delay you've still decided to join us here. I'm especially glad to see the positive influence that others' testimonials have had. It's a terrific group here, and even better, it's constantly growing while maintaining a warm and supportive environment. Like you mentioned, fasting can seem like a lot of work from certain perspectives (especially from the outside), but the online community here really helps take away a lot of the worry, and makes the process much more enjoyable and less intimidating. You have nothing to fear, and so much to gain.

Hi everyone,
Thank you for all the kind thoughts. It does motivate me tremendously to get started. I've got my dates for the pre and formal cleanse and just need to post those. Louise, thank you for the advice--I'm definitely going to find out my blood type and get a copy of the book Eat Right For Your Type. I've got so much learning and changing to do; I'm looking forward to the journey.

Rhonda, awesome! HPS is going to be a godsend for you I'm sure.
Interesting that tomatoes give you a reaction. Do other nightshade plants (green peppers, hot peppers, eggplants) cause the same problem? I have the same issues with wheat and dairy, just to a lesser degree.
Keep on truckin!
