My name is Mark and I am a Staff Sergeant in the US Marine Corps. I am single and I have no children, I guess all my travel with the Corps has kept me too busy for that. I have lived in and traveled to many places, both in the states and overseas, but currently I live in Virginia Beach.

Health-wise, I wouldn't say I am in bad shape, but there's no denying that it could be much better. I try to exercise on a regular basis and eat healthy, but it's so hard to stay on track. I grew up eating good-old southern home cooking and I've got a serious sweet tooth. It's tough to pass up all those tasty meals that I know are not good for me.

My biggest complaints are feeling listless and not having enough energy to get me through the day. My stomach has had a rough ride over the past few years, I usually swing between constipation and diarreha. The best the military doctors could tell me was irritable bowel syndrome.

I had read an article about colon-cleansing a few years ago, but didn't give it much thought because it sounded like something only the rich and famous could have done at some discrete clinic in the Caribbean somewhere. After reading the information from HPS, I decided this was worth the time and effort to improve my health. I've done preventive maintenance on vehicles, weapons, and nearly everything else, it never dawned on me that I should be doing the same thing on my own body. I can't say I'm looking forward to enemas twice a day, but I am anxious to find out exactly how much junk I've been carrying around in my intestines for all these years.

Lastly, thanks in advance to those of you who have already walked in my shoes and are willing to give me advice over the next few weeks. I look forward to talking with all of you. V/R Mark

Hi Mark,

Welcome to the group. I know about that southern cooking, and desserts. I grew up in OK but my parents moved here from Mississippi. My mom is a great cook. We had dessert after most every meal.

I have had an adjustment to make and a period of relearning what is truly healthy and what just tastes plain good (but is not necessarily good for you).

This series of cleanses will allow you to learn new ways in which to view the rest of your life. I have a new view of my life in that I can take charge of my own health. This program teaches you how to do this.

As to the enemas, I can say that they don't bother me, but I will leave it to the men in this group to try and reassure you.

Love,
Tisha

Mark,

Like Tisha, I am also a southern gal, & it is hard to pass up meals like mashed potatoes and fried chicken w/ sweet tea! But trust me, you too can make the transition. I had only eaten veggies that were either canned or deep fried, with the exception of corn on the cob, up until 6 months ago. Now I eat all kinds of veggies, and I eat them slightly steamed or raw. Your taste buds will adapt if you will be patient and stick w/ everything you learn.

Congratulations for choosing better health & don't worry about the enemas!

xo, Melody.

Mark,

Welcome to our group. I like that you see the correlation between maintaining vehicles, weapons etc and how the same concept applies to ourselves. Most people don't notice they take better care of their vehicles than they do themselves.

Glad to have you with us. You'll see some marvelous changes with this program

Hi Mark,

Welcome to the group! Just follow Jos-hua's instructions to the dot and you will be fine. Don't be concerned about the enemas. It is kind of fascinating to see all that toxic crap come out of your body and your time on the board is a perfect way to spend some quiet time with yourself. Don't be surprised if you actually start to look forward to it!

Hi Mark,

Welcome to the group. I'm sure your coming cleanse will bring great comfort, satisfaction, and sometimes amazement at what comes out of our bodies.

I too, was a bit apprehensive about doing the enemas, but by following Jos-hua's words it became very comforting and reassuring. In other words it becomes easier as each day progresses and you become familiar with the procedures

I believe after you start to change some of your eating habits and after you are done with your cleanse you will find that your stomach problems will have toned down considerable, and you will notice a definite rise in your energy levels.

Look forward to following your progress.

Well, thanks to all of you for the warm welcome and words of encouragement. It's nice to hear from some fellow addicts to home cooking and desserts! I know it won't be easy, but if all of you could adjust your tastebuds to eating healthier food, I guess I can too. Onward and upward!
