Hi everyone,
I feel like I know some of you by reading what has been posted. I hope to know you all a little better in the following weeks and months. It’s kind of funny how I quickly got hooked into HPS. It happened not long ago while researching the reasons for bags under the eyes. There were lots of web sites saying why and then offering their surgery or their medicated remedies.

I happened to come across an explanation that I didn’t expect to read explaining that bags under the eyes are related to a large intestine problem. I read further into the HPS web site and after several days of reading testimonials and some other research, I went ahead and jumped in. My wife who was very, very suspicious is now going to join me in this venture. I didn’t try to persuade her, I kept telling her more testimonials that I had read that day. She is now as anxious as I am.

About a year ago I quit eating sugar, most breads, most white flower foods, etc and have not went back to it except for slight moderations here and there. I went from 210lbs to a constant 182 in a couple of months. I was amazed. I had to buy new clothes and my wife calls me skinny now.

That was a word that really dug in when I was a kid, I was always so skinny, but always healthy. Looking for ways to increase my weight was a constant ongoing thing. While growing up in the 50’s and 60’s, there were not many kids that were fat. We were all very active outside, and weren’t driven to everywhere we had to go. We rode our bicycles or we walked, something my kids rarely had to do. I know genes have a lot to do with how we look, and me and my wife were blessed in that manner. Weight problems never existed, but mostly, I just wanted to eat better and not feel bloated after a small meal.
While the years continue to roll by, other health issues come about and I guess the number 1 and 2 issues are energy level and stress level, for both me and my wife, even though she is 6 years younger than me. I won’t get into the reasons for stress but its got to be in everybodys life if you have a marriage, job, kids, grandkids and a host of things that go along with that. From what I read these things increase and decrease and boy am I ready for that.

There are so many other things happening to my body that I could never figure out why until I continued reading into the HPS website. I kept saying, "well I’ll be dang"!

Being a continual reader of Gods Word, I knew that fasting was important. After all, Jesus fasted for 40 days among other Biblical people. Talk about cleaning the body. I know that it helped in communicating with his Father – so there are 2 more reasons that continually makes sense. More energy, being able to handle stress, allowing my body to function as it should, being of a clear mind for higher spiritual reasons, that was enough reasons for my Engineering mind to say, go for it.

My Engineering job requires sitting at a desk everyday so I exercise 3 times a week to try and make up for it. I like weight lifting but I don’t think its so good for me, so I hope by going through the cleansing it will rejuvenate my muscles so they can respond better for the task I put them through.

I was involved with many different sports growing up but I enjoyed riding my bicycle so much I believe that it led me to racing motorcycles. In the 70’s I traveled the state of Kansas every weekend racing motocross. The 2nd most demanding sports in the world. I wasn’t able to go professional but achieved levels of winning that encouraged my level of confidence. Our lives are divided up into segments while growing up, and being involved with the racing scene is the most enjoyed segment before giving it all up for my wife, and then kids to quickly follow.

There are many things I could go on about but I’ll just say that I want to enjoy the rest of my life as much as possible, no.1 my relationship with the Lord, then my wife, kids and grandkids. I don’t want to be restricted with health problems. If I want to go throw a football with my grandkids, I want to be able to do that with out having a series of Doctor appointments. I know the Lord thought it was important in eating the right foods and then fasting. Being an example for us to follow, we should, and I’m thankful for Jos-hua for his effort, time and expertise. I thank you all in advance for taking time to read this and for future encouragement. Thank you William_C for your early encouragement.
Later.. Mark

Thanks William and Belinda, I've been associated with other lists, but they deal with music and music has its own healing properties. As helpful as those people are, I dont see the passion and care for others as the people at HPS online support. I did forget to mention and I play accoustic guitar and banjo and without music in my life, it just wouldnt be as much fun. It has brought me into the lives of so many other people whom I can jam and interact with, but they have no interest in my personal health and desire to improve my health and well being like the people at HPS. I look so forward in transforming my current body into a new one, and so that I can also help others too.

Thanks, Mark

Hello Mark

I add my welcome to that of my fellow cleansers here at HPS. I can honestly say it is a fantastic programme and a wonderful way to renewed health and vitality.

It's very important for people to take responsibilty for, and take charge of their health care and both you and your wife have made a very good decision.

While on this programme there is much to learn and unlearn, so enjoy your journey, there are many people here who have already travelled the road ahead of you and who will be there to support, help and advise.

Look forward to following your progress

Thanks Kylea and Marlene,

My wifes name is Linda. We have had to postpone the pre-cleanse and formal intil we can allow for the time. My hrs at has increased and doing the pre-cleanse is possible but the formal would suffer I'm sure. I'm staying attached to the support group and I'm staying up on those who are going through what me and my wife will be in the future.

Hi Mark,

You come across as a fun and active person to be around. Great strategy to take control of your health now so that you can stay fun and active. Eye bags are my problem too and I can say that they seem to ease a bit after every cleanse. However, the eye bags are results of not taking good care of our bodies in years so it will take years to improve too. Though the eye bags are still hanging around, there are other postive signs of improved health everytime after a cleanse. You will see these signs yourself in your future cleanses.

Great strategy too to wait until there is less demand on your time to begin the formal. Look forward to seeing you around the forum in the run up to your cleanse.

Hi Mark,

Welcome to HPS. It's great to see that both you and your wife intend to do the program together. It seems we are starting to see more than a few cleansing couples involved in the process.

I look forward to journeying along with you and Linda as you both travel down the cleansing path. Also, as Tsang stated, they are many aspects to this program that you will discover as you start to move through each stage. It's really exciting to be able to have complete control over your health.

From what I've read about you, I'm sure you will be throwing long passes out to your grand kids for years to come...

Looking forward to your start...

Thanks Stephen,

Yeah, long passes - it will be a few years before that will happen, in the now time, rolling a ball across the carpet is about all the little guy can handle. I got another grandson coming along in about 2 weeks, so I have plenty of time to get the ole arm ready.

I've been enjoying reading your success and encouragement to all the other cleansers. I didnt really value what a few words of encouragement would do.
This has opened up a new world to me and in just a few weeks the things that seemed so foreign to me are now normal dialect.

It looks like it will be at least April now before I start the pre-cleanse so I'm looking into what would be a good 4 week pre-pre cleanse, if it can be called that.

Thanks for reading my intro,

Mark

Hey Mark!

If you are going to start on the pre-cleanse trail, by all means watch what is dropping! I've been witnessing some interesting deposits in my pre-cleanse! Don't let this stuff pass unobserved, and look for it early.

I look forward to following your cleanse!

Take care buddy,

William

Hi William,

I have a question for you. Are you going through any form of detox? I've been keeping up with your pre-cleanse and if your passing junk this early you should also be throwing off toxins. In my readings of those who have done the formal, ridding the body of toxins is the worst. If I can ease that process with a 4 - 6 week pre-cleanse lead time, maybe I can cruise through the formal a little more easier.

Thanks, Mark

Hi Mark,

I have been sick for a few days, but nothing beyond, that I am aware of. Pre-cleanse is the nourishing phase of the cleanse. Preparing the body to heal itself. It just so happened that the pelvic massages, diet, mental attitude, and other factors that play a part, just came together for me.

Juicing and fasting is the healing phase of the cleanse. Ridding my body of toxins, using the energy I normally use for digestion, to heal itself. It's quite remarkable, if you stop and think about it!

I am no doubt ridding my body of toxins, during pre-cleanse, but toxins are not accumulating. I pass them along by defecating/urinating, breathing/coughing, skin brushing, and sweating. As long as you provide an effecient path for toxins to exit, your healing crisis should be less severe.

I will try to see each healing crisis as just that, my body repairing itself, and try to disconnect myself from the symptoms. A healing crisis is a wonderful thing, or the worst experience, depending on how one chooses to view it.

The thought that body can suffer decades of abuse, as mine has, and can heal itself, even after all this time, (given the right conditions) is amazing! Truly amazing!

Mark,

Welcome to HPS. Must be the age thing because your reasons from coming to HPS are very, very similar to mine: vibrant energy and health for the long haul so we can be fully engaged with life and family right up until we depart. From what I've experienced so far, just through level 1, this program will provide you with all the tools you need to achieve your goals. You will need to provide the action and practice to see that you realize them.

Your comment about the difference between HPS and other lists you have participated in is significant. What I have found is that even though we primarily talk about physical health at HPS, the scope is total health and fulness of life. Those who really believe and practice that view participate on the boards and care about what others are experiencing because that is how we live. The diversity here is amazing, but the support for each other in our life and health journey is a consistent thread across the site.

Glad to have you here and since we're geographically close perhaps we can hook up in person. That would be awesome.

Ron

HI Mark,

Sounds like a good idea to postpone when you can really focus on this.

and having Linda join you will be wonderful I'm sure.

Peter, my husband is just finishing up his first formal and i notice it has been pretty smooth for him. He did a pre-pre cleanse of about 3 weeks ie he quite bread, tea, coffee and dairy except butter - had what seemed like weeks of mucous coming out of his nose at a big rate then it passed....

I wish you well in the meantime.

love Belinda

Hello Mark,

Here is another big welcome to Hps, the best supportive site on and offline to health matters. I too have bags under my eyes and had read in a book that it related to intestines. I have done level 1 and it takes a lot of work to get rid of them but with progress it will.

Its good to know that you will do a pre-pre-cleanse because that will make the formal a bit easier to bear. Keep it up.

Hi Mark,

I too want to welcome you to our community. It's the people who make it what it is.

Your reasons for starting this journey seem pure. I wish all the best.

Please try to follow the program to the dot, and all shall be well.

I look forward to reading your testimonial about the program, your health, your life and if it was worth the investment. I'm pretty sure it will be. But then again who can know, so please make sure to vote at that poll and add a few words so that I know your comments and opinions there. Thanks.

Peace, love and light, your cleansing friend,
Jos-hua
