Hi everyone
Well I finally have got to the point of introducing myself to you all, and getting ready for my first cleanse. Let me tell you a little about myself, Originally I'm from Toronto, Canada but moved to Tampa Florida when I was ten. I live in Atlanta Ga, I'm an aircraft engine inspector with a major airline which I have been working at for the last thirteen years (except for a two year layoff about ten years ago) Prior to this I was in the U.S Army for six years where I was stationed in the States for three years, Korea for two years and finished up my military career over in Saudi and Iraq in the Gulf war.

I love to travel and have been to alot of places around the world. I had the chance to live in Southern Thailand for half a year working as a Scuba diving Instructor and that time was probably the most happy and heathy in my life. I have also spent time in Singapore and Malaysia, Belize, Mexico, UK, Poland and Ukraine.

I have tried to live a fairly heathy life, I dont smoke or have a weight problem. Other than some sinus problems and a couple of kidney stones I had been doing OK. I have my mother to thank for showing me at an early age the value of eating good things and taking care of yourself ( she was a heath food nut and always doing yoga, etc.) I did'nt always do the right things heath wise but at least I knew better. I would say my path here to HPS began about eight years ago, I stumbled on to Daniel Reid's book " The Tao of heath, sex and longevity" which really intrigued me although when I first read it I thought the part about the colon cleansing was pretty far out there, funny how your attitudes and perspective can change.

My life took a turn for the worse two and a half years ago. My wife wanted to get divorced and at the same time I went from a pretty active job as an Engine mechanic to a pretty sedentary job as an inspector. The combination of stress, depression, eating lousy and sitting at a desk all day and then not exercising really started to take its toll on me. I was having alot of stomach problems and basically in the worst heath and frame of mind that I had ever been in. I have really been trying to change some things in my life so that I can start feeling better. I have cut out almost all sweets and sugar now for over a year, I dont drink any kind of soda or coffee, I also stopped drinking milk and I am trying to cut down on the cheese, I've been skipping the steaks and burgers and eating alot more fish and chicken and vegetables. I am ready to take the next step and start cleaning out all the crap inside of me physically and mentally . I plan on starting my formal on March 25th.

I am glad that I found this place and I hope that I can contribute to this group. I really trust the system that Joshau has set up and I look forward to the journey

Peace

your new cleansing amigo

Yo, Amigo Scott,

A hearty welcome to HPS. This is definitely a place to get your life refocused. The physical health improvements are incredible but since we are a living organism, the physical health changes "bleed over" and affect our mind and emotions as well. My main suggestion is to take your time - allow as much time as you can possibly schedule into your current life/work demands to focus on the tools here at HPS. Lot's to read and digest. Lots of "mechanics" and details to learn on how to do the colenema during your first cleanse.

There is so much more to HPS than just getting on the board and flushing out the colon - so much of what goes into getting ready to do the board also causes us to change how we think and live. If you are ready to take charge of your current situation in life, this is the place to work at it. You will find plenty of support as we are all working to do just what you are doing: taking control of our life back from circumstances and our own mindless neglect.

Congratulations on the diet changes you have already been working on. Your body has definitely also noticed and begun to change as a result. As you learn more about diet choices and make further adjustments, you will be amazed at how your body responds. I am still blown away at how long I have been on the planet and just basically taken my body's processes for granted. I was never taught otherwise. It sounds like your mother's input early on sowed some very good seed in the soil of your knowledge and understanding. At HPS you will learn how to get rid of the weeds that have accumulated and let those seeds come to maturity.

I'm looking forward to your posts during precleanse and formal. You will no doubt find out that we have some really neat folks here in the group - all kinds of talents :)

Welcome to HPS, Scott.
Well, you are off to a good start with what you have done to change your diet. With that kind of discipline on your own you should do really well here.
Welcome aboard! :)

Welcome to our group Scott.

You sure do have a lot to thank your mother for... her efforts, love and persistence set up for you a great constitution that you have been riding on for years... but at the end of the day, as Milton Friedman once said, "there are no free lunch's", so I guess now the free ride has ended and it is totally up to you.

I am confident that you will immediately see remarkable improvement in your health, but that is just the tip of the iceberg... so I want to take this opportunity to remind you to be serious, to take this cleansing seriously, to devote as much effort and time as you can during your level 1 post-cleansing... don't get carried away from the remarkable results and think that is it, you got it... but rather, see this as a continuim, progess levels and bring your personal standard of your health to levels you never imagined possible. We all are here with you, for you, wishing you all the best in your cleansing and revitalization journeys.

Peace brother,

Hi Scott,

Welcome to hps, we're glad you joined. I think its really admirable of you that you have taken the initiative to be proactive about your health without actually having any really serious health problems... alot of folks here (including myself) signed up here because they had a specific health issue that they wanted to remedy and I think many of us would have still seen colon cleansing as a 'far out' thing if they weren't confronted with something serious. So, good for you - you're obviously a person who has some long term vision and that is really going to benefit you in the years to come.

Again, welcome, and I wish you a wonderful first cleanse.

Peace,
Colin

Welcome Scott -- I'd bet you'll feel fantastic after one or two cleanses. Great pro-active approach, I have to say.

That time spent in Thailand sounds fascinating. If you get a chance I'd be interested to hear how it came about, I've been looking at traveling/living outside the States myself.

Hey Scott,

Oddly, I have a friend in southern Thailand working as a dive instructor right now, and I'm planning to get my professional cert within the next 12 months. I think SE Asia/Indochina is about the best place in the world right now, but that's really just a reflection of my own satisfaction with my current situation.

Anyhow it sounds like you've had a fascinating journey that has led you to this place, and I think it's safe to say that some great surprises are just around the corner for you. I say "great," meaning, ones that you'll be really glad to experience. It's as you said, it really is funny how your perspective and attitudes can change--sometimes in a very short time.

Welcome to it!

Rick
