Hi everyone!
I first got interested nutrition when I was 21 and thought if I ate better I could stop my hair from falling out(did'nt work). But I've always been thin so I started working out and began experimenting with protien powders and supplements.
Part of that was eating alot of food: a lb. of meat a day, half a gallon of milk, 3-4 peanut butter sands, etc. The typical "bodybuilding diet". It's hard not to follow the advise in the magazines when you think you're desperate to gain weight. When young you can eat just about anything and get away with it.
Over the years my focus had shifted to try and eat as clean as possible by eating everything organic, but still alot of it. In 1994 I got myself up to a very lean 200lbs, and felt great. I did'nt stay there because I had to eat 7000 calories a day to stay there. Not easy to do.
For the last 3 or 4 years I've had occasional problems with constipation, especially the last year. I can go for 5 days without a bm, which has bothered me since I still eat "clean". It's just in the last several months that I've been reading about food combining, and realizing you can eat the best foods, but if not combined properly, you're no better off.
This last year I went to school and became a personal trainer. Every book on nutrition says nothing about proper eating, (combining). Then coming across this website and seeing the pictures and reading everything it really sunk home what I need to do for myself. Not to mention everyone else.
The last straw for me came several weeks ago when I got a cold(and I never get a cold!). I was constipated and mucus boy and saw the connection. I went to google and found this info. I believe I was lead here, that you live your whole life to get to this point that can change your life. I am not nervous but exited to do this.
I want to be a walking testimonial that this works and to share it with others.
If this seems like a long intro, it was harder on me. I'm not the fastest or best typer, it took me an hour and a half to get through this!
Thanks for your kindness and support.
All is well! Confidence is high!
