:) Hello fellow cleansers.
Perhaps I don't have the right to call myself a cleanser yet because I haven't actually started. I have been on a very different diet for 6 months though and this has been a kind of cleansing build up for the next stage. I have had remarkable changes just from eating no animal products(especially meat) and mostly raw vegetables and fruit with barleymax and carrot juice as supplements. I eat very little processed food, no take away at all. I feel so much better. I have loads more energy. This was just the 'appetiser' though. The dramatic change only made me more keen to improve my health. So here I am.
My biggest problem is that I am not very technically minded and find all the internet and emails a little bit daunting. I always seem to be pressing the wrong key and not knowing how to fix whatever happens. I constantly get lost on the internet and talk of 'threads' and 'tags' and 'post icons' is a new language to me. But they say, you are never too old to learn. I believe that we should learn something new each day. Well maybe 'post icons' is my new thing for today. Here goes ...

Hi June,
Sure you're a cleanser! You've already put one of the biggest steps behind you--actually two: 1) you've decided on fasting to improve your health, and 2) you've found a great place to do it. Not to mention all the great basework you've already done with all your great dietary changes. If you can handle 6 months on that discipline, then you're going to have no trouble taking a week off from food altogether.
Try not to be daunted by the internet aspect of it. A lot of people are concerned about the same thing when they first get here. But as with most things, once you (very rapidly) get a feel for how the board works, you'll find that there really isn't too much to it--there isn't much to know, not really all that many terms and such. The lack of familiarity always seems to magnify the difficulty of something. Anyway you're here now and you'll soon see for youself how easy it all really is.
Here's to the beginning of a great health journey. Welcome!
Rick

Hi Rick,
Thank you for the words of encouragement. I do think I am getting better at the internet side. I was a bit slow with text messages at first too but have worked them out now. It is amazing how we take for granted all these communication wonders.
You are a level 3. I appreciate your contact. How do you handle the 'scoffers'. I have tended to be very quiet about what I am doing now. When I first started changing my diet, many people predicted all sorts of woes would befall me. Is it better to be quiet or should you tell people?

You are just starting too? Go for it.

June,
Welcome to HPS. You have come to the right place.
Stay quiet about your cleansing. People will see the results and will ask you what you are doing. Just tell them a little and if they are really interested, they will ask more. It's amazing how threatening dietary changes are to some people even though the scientific proof is in.
I hope you have a wonderful journey.

Hi June,
Welcome aboard. My computer skills really didn't come into being until I started this program. So along with the cleansing I also learnt my way around the computer a bit better. This is an amazing journey, and we are happy to have you here with us as we all travel along the path of good health...

Hey June,
Welcome aboard and of course your a cleanser.
It is a wonderful journey and yes it is daunting at times but well worth it. The cleansing your imbarking on is really special and congrats you have found your way here.
Try to stay in the moment it can be overwhelming the internet stuff but it becomes old hat and we are all here to help you along your journey, your not alone here...............
As for sharing I agree better to keep it to yourself I seldom get a "wow good going" from people . And until your full swing and understanding everything it can be more overwhelming to confront others and their ideas.
One day at a time.
Great that your here. That is some list of occupations!!!
Love and light,
Robin

Welcome to HPS. Reading your intro brought some memories back. The technical difficulties were frustrating for me as well but you will soon learn them. Even the reading material was a lot, but it just all works out. You are on the right track being here with HPS. Have a wonderful cleanse.
All the best,
Rhonda

Hello June. Welcome from me too. I agree with others who have said to keep the cleansing to yourself for now - that way you can be sure to minimize any negative energy coming your way. As Louise says, when others see the change in you, then they will be interested:)

I'd agree with the others to keep the cleansing to yourself. However, you also asked what to tell people who notice your dietary changes and express skepticism about that too. Be upfront about your reasons for changing your diet. Do as Louise says, and let your obvious progress into better health do the speaking for you. If that takes you to a point where you've opened a few minds a tiny bit, you can decide how much to tell them later on an individual basis.
It's a sad fact, people are really irrational about their food, and other vices. I spent years with the blinds deliberately pulled over my eyes about what smoking was doing to me. You tell some people that they would have better health and more energy if they didn't eat so much meat and had fresh fruits and veggies everyday, and they react as though you've asked them to sever all contact with their family and friends. It's a very slow process getting people to open up to the reality of health, diet, and cleansing, and for that reason you have to be careful not to give them a 'straw man' to beat up--ie, telling them about cleansing when they're not prepared to accept it--and use their preconceptions as a shield to beat back the truth of what they see in their own lives, and in your example.
I hope that comes through clearly. I felt my langauge expressiveness slipping a couple of times writing that, but hopefully it doesn't seem too convoluted.
Oh, and I'm level 4 now--software just doesn't register it yet. In fact, if you hurry, you can still catch my L4 cleanse now :)
Take care,
Rick

Hi June,
Hope you are getting your preparations in for your cleanse. Follow the program to the letter and you'll be set for miracles to happen.
Richard, your post is a good one to save and print and paste on a wall somewhere in the house and in the hps hi-lites. Thanks for that type of input.

Hi June,
Welcome to HPS cleansing. This program will dramatically increase your chances of a healtheir happier life, for the remainder of your life. Please follow the program to the dot, participate actively here at the forums and stay calm and relaxed... the program is proven, tried and tested...
Any friend of Maz's is a friend of ours. ( I saw somewhere Maz mentioning your coming here).
And as regards all the computer stuff, in another week you'll be feeling very comfortable with it all... it really is no big deal... and it is going to serve you for the coming 12 to 24 months, so it is worth taking your time and getting comfortable with online communication. I'm sure you'll work it all out quickly. It's no bid deal.
Wishing you all the best June. I'm here with you for you.

Hi. I am overwhelmed by the number of members who put messages on my thread. Thank you and I will try to find you in the right places and join you on your adventure. I haven't had much time this week to explore the communications system but it is certainly looking more user friendly. I have a little time to practice before I start my formal pre-cleanse.

Hi June and Welcome.
I saw that Maz mentioned you also so as soon as I saw your name, I knew who you were.
I agree with all of the input here about keeping the cleansing to yourself. Unless of course there is someone you know for a fact is open to it.
When will you be starting your pre-cleanse?
Enjoy yourself here. There are lots of friendly and helpful folks here. It's a great support system.
Peace,
Laura

Hi June,
By now all the computer stuff is history I assume.
Was looking today for your pre-cleansing thread... can't seem to find it... have you started pre-cleansing yet?
Please advise. Will look at the forum there again in a few days. Hope to see you there.
Peace

Hi Joshua,
Yes I am beginning to find my way around. Have been very encouraged by the comments people have made.
Haven't started my pre-cleansing thread yet because I won't be starting until September and I am trying to arrange to have these two weeks free. This means getting as much as I can, done now. Things that as a teacher and mother, I try and do usually on the holidays. So, I have been very, very busy.
Nice to feel your concern.

HI June,
I'm glad to here that you are getting all that needs to be done so you can clear that path for your pre-cleanse and formal in September. I know I'm busy but wow you have alot on as well!!!!
i don't think it is too early to start your pre-cleansing thread. whilst it maybe some weeks before the actual 7-10days of pre-cleanse you are in that mode now and working toward that.
I live in Victoria too (just out of Castlemaine)...
thinking of you,
love Belinda

Hi June,
Its encouraging to see someone already having their diet changed prior to cleansing. I guess that makes their cleanse more effective? Technology especially places that have links to everywhere like this forum, all have a learning curve. I look foward to hearing about your cleanse in September. Im doing mine in 2 weeks, you can be on the look out for it.
In Light
Justin
