Hi all,

So, I signed up / paid for this program months ago and, in typical grad student style, left it dormant for a while. I was doing field work for a few months, but have also been gearing myself up to actually start the program...reading the books, getting the supplements, etc.

I don't have any major health problems, but I do want to eat healthier and feel less sluggish. I'm very active - I love to run, bike, swim and I consistently 'participate' (aka. don't win!) at races in all three sports. I could definitely lose a few pounds, but more than that want to feel 'full' more often. I find that I'm almost always hungry...regardless of what I've just eaten or how much I've exercised that day.

I've never done a program like this, nor had a cyber support group, so the whole experience is exciting and a bit daunting to me.

enjoy the summer,

Leigh

Welcome to HPS, Leigh!

Interesting about being always hungry. Do you drink plenty of water? I learned some time ago that many times I thought I was hungry when I really just needed water.

What are you getting your PhD in?
Your name could male or female.

Hello Leigh

Welcome and great that you are taking the plunge. I felt less hungry when ever I avoided the empty foods and tried to stick to natural whole foods. If I had processed stuff my body was alway hungry because it contained only empty calories, and many of the substances I found very addictive. By doing the HPS program, you will allow your self to clean out you should not have cravings and you have a chance to change your eating habits. I see it as a new start.

Cheers

Hi all,

I've never done a program like this, nor had a cyber support group, so the whole experience is exciting and a bit daunting to me.

Leigh

Greetings Leigh,

Welcome to our online community.

As a PhD student you will find both the program and the people here stimulating, both intellectually and emotionally.

Almost all of us here never had done a program like this... that's part of the overall health-care problems that most people face in our world today.

If all this was taught and practiced for example in high-school, the health of our society would be totally different. So, consider yourself fortunate and enjoy your cleansing, rejuvenation and perpetual growth here. All of us here are with you, for you.

You will find that attaining and maintaining good health is like commiting to a path of education that you are presently on... it is a continous process, it requires study, contemplation and practice, and it requires effort and devotion. Since you probably have these qualities down from your educational path, you will find they will serve you well here. Remember, good health is a process, not a procedure.

I wish you all the best and look forward to your active participation here at our community. HPS, it is a cooperative effort.

P.S. please don't forget to put your pre-cleansing, formal cleansing and post-cleansing dates into the calendar. Thanks.

Peace,

Hi Leigh - and welcome!

You are not alone for the part with postponing the program for a while.

I got into the program and hoped to start it right away, to be done with the first cleansing by the time I go to vacation - a few weeks from now. I then learned it is not possible to start it without some preparations, so I delayed its start with two months or so. Needless to say I'm anxious to get there, but meanwhile I'm trying to know you guys better.

Hi Leigh,

Welcome to the hps community. It is great that you are taking responsibility for your health at this time. The cyber support group is what makes this program tick in such a unique and incredible way. Who wants to talk about cleansing around the dinner table? So if we can chat online about cleansing stuff we are so much better off, for the bottom line is that it is all about our health, and nobody can do it for us. Best wishes as you make your preparations.

Regards,
Marty

Welcome Leigh!

(MArty you make me smile with your dinner table comment :D )

Yes this is an extraordinary experience here in this community. LAtely, I have realised how very important everyone has become to me, finding it a little hard to really accept that at first. A cyber experience that is so loving, caring, genuine and with all that, so fulfilling.

It is feeling less strange.

I am sure you will enjoy following the program, the stimulation and results of the education on offer here.

all the best,
Belinda

Hi Leigh,

Who wants to talk about cleansing around the dinner table?

Regards,
Marty

That's right Marty!!!
Nice insight.

It's especially true when the other members at the table have absolutely no interest or even resistance to the idea... but it holds true in general, even when people have an interest, it can only be talked about once or twice, not daily and surely not for months on end... and without the talk there will be no sustainable transformation. ;)

Peace friends, just thought to chime in here again when i read that. :D

Hello Leigh,

I also have never joined a cyber group before and was not sure what to expect. I am all ready impressed with the results in just one day.

I think we are in the right place and we are all here with you.

Have a great time :) ,

Hi Leigh, and welcome to the group. It might be a little different, but in no time you'll find participating in the group is actually what makes this program uniquely valuable. Enjoy your time here.

Hey all -

Thanks for all of your nice responses. For the record (since someone did ask): I'm a girl, studying geology, and am very excited to start the program. I started getting the NETWONDER series and am patiently (?) waiting to start!

enjoy your day,

Leigh

Aloha Leigh!

There is a lot of wonderful people who will be here to support you. It really helped a lot when I was going through the FASTing stage of my L1. I am going through the pre-cleanse of L2. Believe me, you are on your way to a much healthier you! BTW, I love athletic stuff too...tennis, biking, running, swimming, and hiking, etc. Unfortunately, I am not what you call just participatory, I love to win as a team (I don't like winning alone...it is not me).
In this program everyone WINS :)

Malama pono,
Tracy
