Hi, all. While searching Google on the nutritional value of brown sugar, I found this web site "by accident" 5 days ago. I started reading all the food information from the Tao of Health, and ordered the book immediately.
A little later, after viewing the website and people's posts, I realized this program was a direct answer to a prayer I sent out earlier that day. But it still took me a few more days of reviewing the site before I joined as the information was very new to me, and a bit boundary-stretching.
Health history: My physical health declined sharply during the past 2.5 years, as I gained 35 pounds and have lost a lot of my physical strength, flexibility and endurance. I also experienced a case of athlete's foot that I can't seem to "cure" with modern medications, recurring yeast infections which were also immune to modern meds (but have stopped now that I've been wine and sugar free for the 3 weeks), and a mild case of genital warts which the doctor says was brought on by all the stress. I have experienced constipation on and off my whole life.
On the emotional level, I experienced quite a bit of grief and depression through a miscarriage, a divorce of a 16-year marriage, releasing my house of 10 years, and letting go of many friendships (some over 15 years).
Work environment: I work at a company which I adore. I've been there 12 years and am so grateful for the heart-centered, community-minded environment they provide. Right now, they are encouraging all employees to get fit through fitness speakers, exercise programs on site (yoga & pilates), and fitness teams.
Home environment: Home is my sanctuary. I share it with my loving partner, Wade. Although he is not currently interested in this program, he is clearly supportive of my participation in the program. I am very blessed in this arena.
Expectations for the program: My hopes for the program are to culitivate health and vitality on all levels. To raise my consciousness, and to grow in my loving toward myself and all beings.
My fears . . . well, why give them any more energy?

Dawn,
It was no accident that you found this site. This program is just what you need. Do the Level 1 as soon as you can and do Level 2 after the minimum wait. It will be just what you need.
This is a life changing program, but don't be afraid. It's good changes. I'm glad you have support from your partner.
Take things step by step and it will be easy.

Hi Dawn,
I am happy for you that you have discovered HPS and decided to do your first cleanse. This will be a great thing you are doing for yourself and only good can come from it. The fitness programs that your employer is encouraging will certainly work better on a body that is cleansed from the inside. You'll get to do all that here and tell us about it. Many good wishes.

Hi Dawn,
Welcome aboard.
What a great introduction!
Looks like we (both of us) stumbled upon this place unexpectedly.
Don't you just love it when that happens?
My fears . . . well, why give them any more energy?
Bravo! Why indeed! ... lol
Sounds like you have been against it for a while ... guess what?
It's over and you are on your way up again ;)
I can relate to the loss of physical strength ... I don't like it.
My sitting for 8 hours on the job then another 8 or so on the computer did not help.
I am rooting for you so expect me to be watching your posts.
Love and light,
Linda_P

Hi Dawn,
wow, that was a pretty quick decision if you ask me, lol... I think a waited about half a year after seeing the website (which I also found 'by accident)... though I think that was more because I didn't have the time or money to do it right then, which I might have if I did (have the time and money right then :P). Well, I think you will really enjoy the program... sounds as though you are perfectly ready to step into this right now what with the supportive environment at work and home. So, with that said... welcome!

Wow, I was away this weekend, and just got back to read the new posts.
I have read threads and posts from so many of you in my first week, it was so cool seeing you all post on my Intro thread :) I feel like I know many of you, at least in regards to your spirit, sense of humor, experience, and loving support on the HPS Support board.
This is really a great program, and even through my nervousness, I'm very excited and joyous to be a part of it.
I appreciate everyone who has welcomed me so lovingly.

Hi Dawn,
Thanks for the visit of encouragement.
It is fun to be with people who are doing the same thing you are. It is especially fun to see how they are progressing. I love reading the step by step posts. I find them so helpful. I think you will find they will do quite a lot to ease your nervous feelings about what is ahead.
One of the main reasons I decided to do this particular cleanse is Jos-hua making it sound like everyone can do it. He was right ... step by step anyone can do it with a little resolve.
I can not tell you how many detox, or cleanse programs I have passed on NOT because I could not do them but because I knew there was not a snowflakes chance in hell I would keep them up.
In my opinion that is what set Jos-hua's program apart.
Good luck with your pre.
Love and light,

Hi DAwn,
Welcome to this great community from me as well.
I too discovered this by accident (not) and after 2 hours of reading through things and recognizing what was/is taking place here...jumped in. That was a little over a year now.
Thanks for your intro, lucky you to have such a great work environment and supportive partner.
I wish you all the best,
love Belinda

Thanks for responding to my intro. I am trying to navigate around in this webpage with a lot of my old achievement anxiety. I am not a web specialist or even an apt net surfer. So already one of my messages to you was sent as a private. However I wanted you to know that reading of your work through struggle areas inspires. Sometimes when straits are dire the body responds by protecting itself through gaining weight or water. I have had this happen to me only recently when I went on an long airflight to China. It took weeks to loose the water or oedema around my ankles. This was more of an acute situation. With other circumstances, the process is a longer one both in accumulation and resolution.
Keep on going!
Best,
Jaigi.

Dawn, you have a great place to work! And lucky to have Wade supporting your effort.
I agree with June - nice name - I just got a Soleil Sunrise “alarm” to wake up with a dawn effect.
All of your symptoms are going to improve with this program. Welcome!
:)
