Greetings to my new cleansing family!

My name is Gary. I'm a linguist and programmer, close to forming a software company. I'm developing a prototype of an automatic proofreader, based on a language I've been making (for 36 years!).

I'm divorced, married once, no kids. I made a conscious decision long ago to channel my energies into my language project rather than raise a family.

My health has been quite good, but my energy level has been decreasing in the last few years. Getting out of bed in the morning is not fun. I need one, sometimes two naps a day. I need lots of energy to start a company, supervise people and bring products to market. My body hurts when I bend over. But I believe my life is really beginning, so I don't want to feel old! I need rejuvenation before it's too late!

I started becoming vegetarian at about age 25. I'm 55 now and have been vegan for about the last ten years. I've done a few colon cleanses before. You can imagine my surprise to see a lot of mucoid plaque coming out. A 3-foot piece of tapeworm also came out this last time  ! If I have that junk inside me, other people must have much more!

About 2 years ago I bought a colon cleansing kit from one website. It was OK. One year ago and this year I tried kits from another website. They were better. I took a lot of the digestive stimulant. It didn't move my bowels, but it zapped my energy, I think, because it contained cascara sagrada. Enemas are what got things moving. The instructions said to do enemas as a last resort, but they seem to be essential, at least for me. On the last day of the fast I thought, what the heck, and did 7 enemas, and lots of junk kept coming out! I need better guidance!

As a teenager I went to a dermatologist for acne on my face and back. The doctor's treatment for me was facial scrubs and ultraviolet light. (Not too smart—more recently I have had skin cancer on my face.) I figured out on my own what my doctor didn't—I don't digest fats and oils well. (I've been slim all my life.) So I choose a low-fat diet. (One time when I had a few slices of pizza with cheese, my face and back broke out in 30 minutes.) I hoping that a clean colon will allow my body to absorb fats better. And it would be nice if my jock itch would finally go away, after so many years.

So I'm mainly looking forward to lots more energy. I think life has more to offer than fading to black after age 50 :(

Hello Gary and Welcome!

Wow, I'm impressed with all that you have already done and are doing. I am new here myself and just starting out.

I too have thought for years that I was eating/living more healthfully than the average American but over the last couple years the benefits I was recieving from some of my healthier habits started to taper off while my bad habits started to take a stronger hold. I'm thinking that, from what I already knew and believed (and have felt in my body) that nothing short of emptying the stuff already stuck and clogging and blocking etc... is going to bring much benefit.

I joined this site because I too felt that I needed a lot more guidance. Books are great but you can't ask them, "am I doing this right?" or "Is this supposed to happen?" I find the people here to be wonderful supporters and encouragers and am constantly amazed at how tuned in to it all Jos-hua seems to be, he responds quickly to people. I'm happy I joined even though I am just getting started. I'm sure you will be too!

So again, Welcome! Looking forward to seeing more from you as you get going.

Love and Light,
Sharley

Gary,

As one of the "over 50" crowd, let me offer a word of welcome to HPS. I'm here for some of the same reasons you state: But I believe my life is really beginning, so I don't want to feel old! I need rejuvenation before it's too late!...(and)...I think life has more to offer than fading to black after age 50.
I felt that if I was going to use all that I'd learned in the first 50, then I would need to first rebuild and transform my physical body for the second 50!:)

I expected that the disciplines I would need for the physical cleansing would probably be useful in other areas of life, but little did I know how intertwined all dimensions of my being really are. You will find this is a place to "get the job done right". Just follow the course info and don't modify it to your liking. Do it as laid out. It is a thoroughly proven plan and each step is laying the groundwork for the next one. Jos-hua has tested and proven what is needed for the greatest results.

Join in and enjoy the journey!! Stay engaged in the forums. They will help you maintain your focus and momentum.

Ron

Hey, Gary.

You seem to be really in touch with your body, good at observing reactions, and already open to changing your food choices, not to mention very open to colon cleansing. You're a natural for this program!

Reading your post and seeing all that you've gone through on your own makes me incredibly grateful to have found HPS and be guided by Jos-hua and other experienced cleaners here. I'm at the very beginning of this path and learning a lot, so it's eye-opening to see someone of your obvious knowledge and experience here seeking greater health and energy.

Have a great cleanse and welcome aboard!

Hi Gary!

Welcome to HPS! Even though you knew about good things to do for your body, one is to know the way and another to walk on it every day... every single day. HPS will help you live a better health, but for the greatest benefits you need to be an active participant.
May be that you will turn all your dreams true!

Gary_S,

I am also new to this program, but as you not new to the idea of cleansing. Did you know that you have more amount of bacteria in your gut than the total amount of cells in your body? Our gut is really the outside world of foreign substances turned inward, a form of outer skin on the inside. These bacteria weigh more than your next most heavy part of your body, no not your bony structure, but your skin is the heaviest part of your body (apart from your gut bacteria, which is not you strictly speaking, they are your guests).

So much for significance of the physique. Consequently it is not strange that you observe changes to your skin when the environment of your intestines are burdened and in a state of frenzy instead of frienship.

Good luck to you my friend.

Jaigi_T.

Hello
I too would like to welcome you to a fantastic programme, I've had wonderful results and I know that you will too.

It must've been awful to see that tape worm being passed, but you'll gain an improved level o cleanliness, energy and self awareness even more than before.

And the best thing is your're joining like minded people on this trip.

Love and light

Hi Gary,

Welcome and best wishes for your health journey here. Hps cleansing is different than buying cleansing products and reading books and I think you are showing that by your introduction. When you realize the intricate makeup and size of the digestive tract it is not hard to realize that there is a process involved in the healing of it. Sounds like you are well acquainted with natural methods and you'll get to share your insights in the forums. Congrats on getting started!

Hi Gary-

You have come to the right place- you will be given everything you will need to correctly take responsibility for your own health. This place is kind of like a recipe for health. You are given a list of ingredients, and then the steps to build your healthy world. You get a preview by reading the experience of those who went before you in their entries in the forums. If anything is still lacking, you just ask- and you will receive! And it doesn’t stop after your Level 1 cleanse. There is so much to learn.

Welcome and good luck!

Hello Gary,

Nice to have you join our growing group.

It is indeed interesting how many of us who thought we were doing a healthy thing have all of a sudden collided with this site after experiencing little or no success with other programs.

I found that Jos-hua added the final puzzle piece that makes a program whole. As you no doubt see its a very comprehensive program that is managed one step at a time. You have NO GUESSWORK ... you just follow the extremely well laid out program.

I am on the beginning rung of this ladder just like you ... but its great to know that after level one there is still a hill to climb and you are not just "dropped" on the other side.

So welcome ... you will enjoy!

Love and light,
Linda_P

Hi Gary,

Let me just add my own bit to the chorus of welcome messages from the group. With your previous experience, you'll have no trouble navigating your way through the program here. I think you'll very quickly find the support and guidance here that you weren't getting in your previous attempts. We're all here to help in any way we can, but most especially to cheer you on as you take back your health and vitality through your own action.

Rick

Welcome Gary,

I think you are ready to start your HPS cleanse. It's good that you've recognized that you need guidance in cleansing and that you decided to try HPS cleanse.

You have experimented with other cleanses and still improved health has been illusive; I have experimented with vitamin supplements (with some guidance), but am still not satisfied with the results. I believe HPS cleansing will be our Holy Grail.

Catch you later,

Aloha Gary!

It nice to see another fellow programmer here. This program will do wonders for you. Just try to stick with what Joshua instructs and you will do well. If you stick to the program, it should be life changing (in a good way).

So enjoy life on how it was meant to be LIVED and you will go far with this program.

Malama pono,
Tracy

Thank you, everyone, for your love and words of support. I feel connected to a great group, even though physically I live alone. I'm getting to recognize a fair number of names. I practice yoga philosophy and meditation and so identify with the Janaka, from Janakananda, India's greatest king. Tracy, I'd love to visit Hawaii some time. I know "aloha" means love. What does "malama pono" mean? About the only Hawaiian words I know are in Hawaii's state motto, which I memorized for fun. "Pono" is the last word in the motto.

I just bought papayas, mangoes, melon, greens, brown rice, etc. to start my pre-cleansing. So far I'm happy with alkaline meals. I still need to buy a juicer, rice cooker and maybe water filter. Because of this different diet I feel like I've traveled to another place. (I know what I'm talking about--I got back recently from teaching English in South Korea and Thailand for 2 years.)

I guess this Introduction thread should end and pick up at my pre-cleansing thread. Oh yeah, I squatted on the toilet seat and all is well!

Hi Gary and welcome,

great to have you here... you seem to have a good background knowledge about colol cleansing... don't often see many people here that already do. I think you will find exactly the guidance you are looking for here... the program is well structured and you will learn lots... also there is always someone to answer your questions.

Good luck... see you around the boards...
Colin
