I was completely amazed by how good I felt after Level 1. (http://hpscleansing.com/group/showthread.php?t=3372) :D I had energy to spare – and enjoyed a clarity and crispness in my every day life. My skin looked great and I lost 5 pounds! Christmas holidays came and went, and while I still felt excellent I wanted to get back the intensity that I had been feeling when my food and lifestyle choices were at their most responsible.

Level 2 was fantastic – so much easier with the “newness” gone, I slid into it like it was made for me – and it was!!! :D :D Building on my past experience, I was able to utilize new techniques and unloaded all kinds of nasty stuff. The rewards are even better! Besides all of the benefits I enjoyed from Level 1 (see my testimonial) (http://hpscleansing.com/group/showthread.php?t=3372) I obviously am making better use of the food that I am eating.

As a great cook and enthusiastic eater, I have struggled with weight more often than not. Today, amazingly, less absolutely satisfies like never before. My body lets me know when we’re finished, and for some reason, I’m finding it simple and easy to respond. Even when eating those things which I know are not the best for me; a bite or two and I’m good to go! I do not feel deprived at all, and that is truly a gift.

I have also developed a willingness for self-care that will serve me well. I’m not too busy to exercise, meditate or just enjoy a long walk. Level 2 takes what you have already learned and brings it to new places. I’m so glad I was along for the ride.

Count me in for the next stage. :)

Peace,
Karen

PS Please read my additions to this testimonial - about 3 posts down. Thanks

Such a glowing testimonial Karen. :D

I'm so glad that your cleanse was successful and even more beneficial than your level 1 cleanse.

Perhaps the most important thing is your increased willingness for self-care. Without that most people will never take the initiative to improve their health.

You're such a great inspiration here Karen. I hope to follow in your cleansing footsteps with my own level 2 cleanse.

Hi Karen,

Yes, there comes a point when one has that break-thru with how they approach eating. When we can approach eating with the philosophy of "food as thy medicine" as Hippocrates says, AND, actually enjoy and love that way of eating, then one has mastered eating. I personally am not there yet, but have experienced enough of it so I know this tenet to be true. How cool is that? To be able to love what and how you eat, AND, actually have it be optimally healthy for your body, mind and spirit;)

And, getting to the realization and understanding of self-care? That's great! Until we get to that understanding, and take on that responsibility for ourselves, then we can not and will not be in control of our health. HPS certainly provides us with this philosophy, but we each have to make that decision for ourselves. Congratulations Karen, you are making such great strides:)

L3 will be an incredible experience for you, especially because you have laid such a good foundation. Keep up the great work on your post.

Hi Karen,

Great testimonial. It really is inspiring to read other people's results.

It seems like it's true that eating and living healthy gets easier as the body gets healthier. I'm looking forward to more of that experience myself.

Thanks for all your excellent sharing.

TESTIMONIAL ADDITIONS

I realize that in my testimonial I didn't talk about the support here. I know I spoke of it at length in my Level 1 testimonial (http://www.hpscleansing.com/group/showthread.php?t=3372&highlight=Karen_M)because it was so new and, frankly, unexpected. I have come to not only expect it but to rely on it, daily - sometimes hourly. Because it is so very normal here, I almost forgot what a rare and beautiful thing it is for people to come together from a place of compassion and tolerance and caring.

Kind of like walking into a room, breathtaking in its beauty, and not noticing the floor.

Anyone reading these testimonials will see repeated references to "caring and support" blah, blah, blah....

I'd like to tell you what that meant, in concrete terms, to me.

While I was preparing for my 7DW cleanse, I would post my daily activity on my thread. I would talk about what I did, how I was feeling, anything that came to mind - if I had any questions or concerns I'd put them out there. At that point other cleansers who are on the same path, sometimes in the same place, sometimes barely starting and sometimes with years of experience would respond, lending advice, letting me know I was not alone and the "atta girls" that I so love. It would not be unusual for several people to respond to me every day.

And the laughs - lots and lots of laughs.

While this was going on, I would watch other threads, getting to know these people and what point they were at, lending my observations, advice or simply good wishes. I could go back and read how they started, what they experienced, the advice they received - how it worked for them, the fantastic results, the ongoing improvements to their lives.

From Australia and China to England and all over the states, people have come together with a common purpose, to improve their health and to help others do the same. I feel I know them, I truly care about them and I know they care about me. Kind of unusual in this day? Tell me about it . . .

When it was time for my actual cleanse, that's when the support really took off. I would post every day, talking about what was going on, as graphically as I chose because we're all in the same place. During the actual cleanse, all of the cleansers make a point of being there. Because we're living in different time zones, I could check my thread several times a day, and often hear just what I needed to, just when I needed it.

If I have a concern or question that I would prefer remain private, I would contact Jos-hua privately, and no matter where he was in the world, I would hear back.

And Jos-hua (don't let the hyphenated name throw you, I'll admit it did me) is the real deal. This man has worked for years and years developing this program so that we could share in his experience, share in his amazing health and vitality. He is as giving, compassionate and real a person as I have had the honor to know. And so incredibly tolerant. I would send a private message because I couldn't find some information and he would gently tell me the answer and where it was in the information he had already sent. He is vigilant about keeping all of us safe and on the cleansing path that he has paved. It seems he is always here, always available - I don't know when he sleeps. He deserves to be a rich man, but he isn't and I don't think he cares. His reward is in helping people, and these days you see so little of that. It is refreshing.

Now that I am in 'post-cleanse' I post my experiences as often as I want, spending more of my time helping others. It is very real 'paying it forward' and I am really enjoying the opportunity to help others go where I have been and to cheer on those who are still paving the way for me.

It is one of those things where you really get out what you put in - tenfold.

It may seem like a lot of money but I honestly spent more on a few month's worth of prescription drugs (the ones I don't take anymore)- to say nothing of the money I won't have to spend on future health care. I don't remember having felt this good for a long, long time.

If you're reading this, considering this, I can only urge you to do it. It has been an amazing and eye-opening experience for me.

Peace,
Karen

That is a beautiful testimonial Karen :D

You write with such warmth in your words, caring and ever giving.

You have written what so many of us feel here about Jos-hua, grateful for allowing us to embark on developing our awareness to better health, with love and support ALL the way.

Karen, whatever it is you wanted from cleansing the HPS way, I just wanted to say you give so much to many here, you deserve the constant involvement interest and time from others. It is a pleasure to read you, to hear you and engage with you always.

Keep up all what you already do, it works!

Hugs

Hey Karen

Inspiring testimonial!

It's fantastic to hear about the changes going on in your life! You have taken the best possible path from level 1 to 2 and the results are obvious and you have set up a great foundation for future practice and growth! That fact that you are satisfied with less food and can control that goes to show that your body now is so much more in tune with what it really needs.

Regarding the support of Jos-hua and everyone in the group; you couldn't have said it better!! You are also a great supporter of others and we are all grateful for your valuable input!

HPS = Helping People Survive. for those who have interest, I put here the link to your 7DW level 1 testimonial (http://www.hpscleansing.com/group/showthread.php?t=3372)Karen.

Once the survival part is packed down, the thriving becomes a whole lot easier, doesn't it?

We're helping you survive, you're helping us survive, and we all are thriving... can't beat that in my books! :D  :)

Forge on cleansing friend! I look forward to your 7DW level 2 post-cleansing as much as I did your level 1 post-cleanse.

Peace,

Karen,

This is such a lovely testimonial. Yes, here we take the support for granted but if you think about it is actually quite amazing that people who have never seen each other (with some exceptions) help each other so much!

Hey Karen,

Mia put it very well, you've more than paid back/forward the support you've received. And on top of that, you've provided an excellent example from the beginning of what's possible if you toss your fears aside, follow the instructions and cheerfully engage in your healing. It'll be a longer post-cleanse this time than your level 1 was, but I'm sure the big changes won't be slowing down at all.

Hi Karen,

What a wonderful testimonial and a fabulous cleanse that you endeared. Bravo!

Your self reflection and growth is evident in your testimonial and I am so excited to read that someone is comfortable in what they eat, how they view it and how it can transfrom them inner to connect to the outer self. That is just amazing.

I think Kevin is right, that level 3 will only bring more space and exploration into this realm and that you will definatley reap huge benefits as a result.

Congratulations!

Peace.

And the laughs - lots and lots of laughs.

Peace,

Karen dearest,

It's a labor of love to reclaim ones health and take control of it on all dimensions- phsically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually....isn't it Karen?!

And if one can't laugh while doing it, then one shouldn't do it.

Happy Labor day everyone!
Hahahahaha.

Jos-hua,

I don't understand either - I guess change can be a really scarey thing. I would tell folks to go for it, so very much to gain....

Speaking of change/gain, I went to my doctor last week, and my blood pressure is so low (100/60 !!!) that we will be phasing out the blood pressure medication I have been taking for the last 15+ years.:D :D :D

not bad, not bad at all. . . and the good stuff keeps coming!

Peace and love,
Karen

100/60??!!!! And you're only "phasing out" the meds? That's about 20 points low according to what I thought I knew...well hooray in any case, you know it's funny, the blood pressure is one of the stats that I've noticed responds most quickly to a cleanse or two around here, that by itself ought to get a lot of people off the fence and just do it already, but you know, horses and water, we do what we can...

Thanks Karen for such a beautifully articulated descritpion of your experience of community round here....

I love it when people really get it and share as you have done..it is all so deeply true....and sharing like that can only come from one who has gone through some deep change with the master's teachings and the community support.
