I must admit, the reason I first stumbled across HPS was because some girlfriends of mine had recently been on a 'detox' holiday in Thailand.
Their glowing skin and amazing weightloss intrigued me as much as their stories about a 1 metre long worm and other stuff which was expelled during their cleansing!
I also liked the fact that it was all set up for you but you had the privacy of your own cabin for placing the tube etc yourself.
I couldn't find the time (as I have children) to fly over there for 7 days, plus 1day either side for travelling to do it myself.
I also didn't like the fact that there was no follow-up once you finished your detox (unless you went back again) and no ongoing support.
I stumbled upon HPS online and realised 'this is what I am looking for'.
Buying the board etc meant I had the equipment to make this a part of my life forever.
But it was more than that, the amount of knowledge that Jos-hua was sharing was more valuable than anything.
Here was someone who had practised on his own body for many years, sharing with newbies like me and he actually valued and encouraged me to have a say on the message boards even if it was only a bit of encouragement.
The interaction and encouragement from master faster's to newbies is amazing. There are no tiers of 'supremacy' . It is a whole bunch of different people with different skill levels and knowlege sharing information for the good of the group.
I will admit it was challenging to be in your own home doing something which seems 'strange' at first.
You may have challenges fitting the board into your toilet or bathroom etc but ANYTHING can be overcome. Someone else in the forum may have had the exact problem and will share their solution with you!
Overall, I just want to share that this is just the beginning....Don't think that you are just going to buy all this stuff, do it once and your going to have amazing results forever.
Its a journey which begins here and takes you as far as you are prepared to make the effort to go.
There are times when you are going to question 'whether its worth it' there are times you are going to feel worse than when you started.
Stick to it, enjoy the journey instead of just focussing on the end result and believe that better health is yours for the taking.

Greetings Alysia,
Thanks for the testimonial. I hope it inspires many to start taking control of their health.
I quote from the HPS-ONLINE.com website:
===
99.9% of the people don't know how to take care of themselves and don't want the responsibility. They want quick fixes.
And well, with over 15 million new cancer cases projected by the World Health Organization (WHO) by 2020, that tells you a lot about the quick fix approach, a lot about exercising, a lot about dieting and a lot about doctors.
They want someone else to take the responsibility... Doctors, phama companies, research institutes, spas, a few bottles of supplements, a cleansing kit, therapists, hospitals, hospices, etc.
I'm glad you understand that it doesn't work like that.
The responsibility for your health and health care is exactly the same as the responsibility you have to develop your career, to develop your relationships of love and sex, and to develop your kids and family relationships. YOU HAVE TO WORK AT IT.
The HPS 7DW cleansing and renewal program doesn't attack disease; it attacks the causes and conditions which allow disease to develop, thrive and sustain itself.

Alysia, If you note today the number of posts you have made to date, #81 (see the right hand corner under Location: Australia), you can bet the bank a few months from now that number will double or even triple.
Your friends who did a week at a spa, they did their week and went home...
And all they got at the spa in Thailand was a bucket, some herbals, a bathroom, and a video to watch... that's it, no one took any personal interest in their health, in educating, helping or structuring the path for them. I know because I spent over 6 years in Thailand in all those spas! :D
Already you can see that your post-cleansing here at HPS guided cleansing, the advise, recommendations, strucutre and support has given you things that they never got, and never will get...
They have not gotten any post-cleansing support, or structure. The holiday was over and that's that for them. And as you are already seeing with your cleansing and renewal, lots is happening in your post-cleansing, and lots should have been happening with theirs, which didn't happen!
And just imagine what is going to happen over the coming weeks and months.
In short, they had fun and an experience, but you actually are engaging in your health and health care and that is a world apart.
If you still aren't sure, lets bet... in 3 years from today lets see where they are and where you are and I'm pretty sure you will come to the conclusiong that you are happy you went your route and not theirs. You are going to be thousands of miles ahead of them, healthier, happier and a master of your health and well-beings. I almost can guarantee it. ;) :D
And like you said, the journey can be just as much fun, exciting and rewarding as reaching the goal. So, Forge on cleansing friend!
Wishing you all the best Alysia, here with you, for you.
Peace,
Richard_D

Alysia, that's a nice testimonial, gets to the point and really tells newcomers what they need to know. The quick fixes won't fix anything, and HPS is not about taking some pills, doing some colon irrigation and declaring victory.
Over the years I've been wondering what it is that keeps people from signing up and taking the challenge that from the outside an HPS Level 1 cleanse must look like. I think it's this 'quick fix' mentality that Jos-hua has detailed above, people get into the details on the website and realize, well, on the one hand, there are tremendous gains to be had, but on the other hand, this is going to take real work and commitment, and if I had that, well, I'd just diet and exercise and I wouldn't need a cleansing program...I don't think people really get the message that DIET AND EXERCISE ARE NOT ENOUGH--WILLPOWER AND DISCIPLINE DO NOT LEAD TO TRUE HEALTH. From the outside this must look like just another iron regimen to put oneself through, to suffer through in order to get some kind of fantasy body/health that nobody really believes in anymore.
To a degree, I think what you mention here shows another potential worry for those still on the fence:
The interaction and encouragement from master faster's to newbies is amazing. There are no tiers of 'supremacy' . It is a whole bunch of different people with different skill levels and knowlege sharing information for the good of the group.
That's a perfect description. That's just it. Thinking back over when I was about to hit the 'order' button for the first time, I did have some background uneasiness about what I was going to be expected to do in the group setting. It sounded like a burden, another chore to keep up with--plus like many people I feel shy and uncomfortable in new group settings and tend to limit my exposure to situations like that...it added up to a significant worry for me.
You can see I don't have that problem any more :D In fact the group here has proven time and again to be the #1 factor that keeps the learning experience here fresh, vital, engaging and exciting. I look forward just as much to seeing what new wonders unfold for new and existing members here as I do to my own personal journey--in a different way, of course, but the excitement is at an equal level.
Thanks so much for joining us here, Alysia. In a short time you've brought a lot of good energy to the group, and I hope to see that level of engagement and commitment from you in the months and years to come.

Beautifully said again... it really is the #1 factor the keeps the learning experience fresh, vital, engaging and exciting.
Unlike other cleansing sites, the content here is fresh, baked daily.
Sweet comments Rick... and me too, I appreciate all the work Alysia has done and what she brings to the group. I know with her career of flying around the world all the time, and taking care of her family and kids, she really doesn't have all that spare time to be posting, BUT SHE DOES, and I really appreciate that for two reasons:
1) first of all it ends up helping herself in ways she can't yet imagine, but I think she is starting to get a gust of... her friends who did some cleansing at a spa in Thailand don't have 1/5th the knowledge and self confidence and skills she has attained so far.
2) It really helps others, especially newbies, they connect with her, her experience and see it all can be done, and the benefits far outweight the costs or difficulties, and i think for many that might be priceless.
Peace friends!

Nice thoughts, Alysia.
Now that you have had time to recoup, what were your results? Do you feel any different physically or mentally? Any health problems reduced?
Thanks, Janaka

Thanks so much guys!!
My heart felt like it would burst reading your lovely comments about me.
Janaka,
My results are good, but as I am slowly realising I am on a long path to perfect health.
I didn't expect miracles but I must say I was shocked with what my TCM told me!
I know its for my own good, that I must know where I am now, to know where I want to be in the future.
I guess I just wasn't expecting the extent of the pancreas and liver toxicity that I have, although in the back of my mind I knew genetically I was pre-disposed to these conditions.
I just chose to ignore it!
Thats how I have dealt with things sometimes, by burying my head in the sand!
I am feelings alot better, had a small bump in the road with my homeopathic drops which made me feel quite ill for a day.
I am also pre-menstrual which sorta gives me a licence to eat everything...I know, I know its just an excuse, but sometimes I just can't help it.
I took my food onboard today but we were so busy and a bar of chocolate SEEMED like the way to get a quick shot of energy!
Anyway, tomorrow is a new day. I'm getting back on the 'horse' and riding toward better health.
Alysia :)

Hey Alysia,
Really great testimonial. It is just amazing how within a relatively short space of time our appreciation of hps changes our thoughts about a long term healthy living program. Good luck with your aim to rid your body of all ailments, I think us newbies could/will probably do many more cleanses around the same time. Enjoy your post cleanse Alysia.

Alysia,
I enjoyed reading your testimonial. That's very true that cleansing is not a one shot deal and that to have lasting results, you need to continue with the hps lifestyle.
The neat part of this program is that Jos-hua put it together that makes it doable on your own and in the privacy of your home (and of course with the cheers and support of the hps group).
Just keep going down this path and you will feel great.

Lovely testimonial Alysia, your attitude is shinning and I'm sure your face is too. What a wonderful thing to do for your kids - they've got a terrific mom!
And, you've encouraged me to just dig in my heels and get to writing my testimony - it's not too hard and it doesn't have to be a book.
Lots of love and looking forward to seeing you in level 2!
Dorothea
