When I first started the cleansing, physically I had no major health concerns. And I didn't think there was a lot wrong with my mind, as far as the mental processes and the way I relate to the world around me.

I had a strong interest and passion for finding true and vibrant health. I knew colonics and cleansing were the way to go. I didn't know they went together, and when I came across HPS-online, I was interested to know more.

It took me a few months of going back and forth to the website, reading the information posted, and getting a job to save money to actually do the cleanse.

If you have the money to do this cleanse, I certainly would recommend it. If not, then it's probably better if you keep researching independently- just think eat live foods.

The 7DW Cleanse itself was a great system, guided and worked over and over by others (esp. Jos-hua) so you know what to expect as you go along.

The support I've received and guidance, has been invaluable to me. I have made some very supportive friends in the HPS Support group. Without them, I would never have made it through the cleanse, what with the lack of support of family, and mockingly loud squawking parrots, the friendly and encouraging posts from all levels of cleansers was joyfully welcomed.

Upon the last days of my cleanse, and the days following, I didn't have any major shifts in physical health, neither positive or negative. I felt a bit higher of an energy level though. It was then I began to learn that my mind was my biggest problem. Through finding my way to a more peaceful space, I begin to learn to quiet my mind.

All-in-all, I feel like I built HPS up to be a major dramatic change in my life- and health. The fact is, it didn't turn out to be that at all. It turned out to be the beginning of a long path of gradual change. And in a world of microwaves and emails, it's a different approach. But everyone knows that fresh baked, home-cooked meals, and handwritten snail-mail letters are definitely better!

I look forward to having my level 2 cleanse in the near future.

Peace and Love,

Amari (Amanda_H)

Greetings Amari (Amanda),

I'm still a bit used to saying, thinking, feeling Amanda, as I have written that name at least a 50 times here in the last few months.

As you said, you had no major health issues to begin with, which means you had the space to work with other aspects of your being- mental, emotional and spiritual- already from your very first HPS guided cleanse.

There is a poll here at the group referring specifically to that point- please do vote in it at your convenience and put your comments there too. Thanks.

Finding yourself and feeling comfortable in your own skin is part of the fruit of HPS guided cleansing.

The person on the sideline reading your testimonial might be thinking "Why guided cleansing"?

You of course already know the reasons why... but for them, I suggest a short email series I've prepared which might help them understand more, mailto: sport@getresponse.com

Amanda, your first 7DW level 1 was phenomenal in the sense that you and your testimonial here confirm what Trungpa Rinpoche teaches, that being:

==============================
"Often the whole notion of sickness is taken as a purely mechanical problem: something is wrong with one's machine, one's body.

But somehow that is missing the point.

It is not sickness that is the big problem, but the psychological state behind it.

We could not have gotten sick in the first place without some kind of loss of interest and attention. Whether we were run down by a car or we caught a cold, there was some gap in which we did not take care of ourselves- an empty moment in which we ceased to relate to things properly.

There was no ongoing awareness of our psychological state.

So to the extent that we invite it to begin with, all sicknesses- and not just those diseases traditionally considered to be psychosomatic- are psychological. All diseases are instigated by one's state of mind. And even after we have dealt with the disease and the symptoms have disappeared, by pretending that the problem is over we only plant seeds for further neurosis."
==============================

Amanda, detoxing the mind is the key to finding true and vibrant health.

And I'm extremely glad that already from your first HPS cleanse, the realization of where you need to focus your efforts in your post-cleansing has come to light. Congrats.

I gave you some valuable materials to work with in your post-cleansing, specifically stuff for detoxing disruptive thoughts, negative uncontrollable thoughts, and afflictive thoughts.

Please keep them close to heart and work with them moment to moment, daily. Be attentive to them. Mindful. Doing so will help tremendously in your quest for tranforming yourself, on all levels- physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

From your above testimonial I can see that you are ready for it all. :D

Wishing you all the best,

I hope the new name, the new home, the new place of living and the new job of yours works out as well as the new you that is materializing right before our very eyes. It's always great to see young HPS cleansers taking the materials, skills, knowledge and wisdom they acquire here and putting them into action. That means they are going to have a long healthy happy life for many many years to come!

I too look forward to your 7DW level 2 at the appropriate time. We are going to ratch things up a whole notch in that cleanse. Meanwhile, now is the time for practice, so please do so in this level 1 post-cleansing period.

Peace Amari, Here with you, for you!

Hi Amanda,

It seems you have got a lot out of you first HPS program - congratulations!
Yes, mind is ultimately responsible for our behavior and hence for the state (of health) we get into as a response to those behaviors. It is a very good insight, which will serve you well...

I'm looking forward to your post-cleanse progress.

Peace,

Hi Amari,

I love your testimonial heading ' Detox Your Thoughts' !!!!!

You are spot on from my perspective, 22 yrs and just done with your first cleanse and have gained the deep understanding that your life is a process of unfolding and learning and with that comes a wealth or rewards and change.

That is inspiring...

I think it was my 3rd cleanse when I got beyond the physical to recognise the stance of detoxing the mind, I think I was 44yrs. ;) :D

well done
Love
Belinda

Hello Amanda (or should I say Amari)

I'm really happy for you, and proud of what you've done for your health and vitality. I remember during your cleanse how difficult things were at times, stress with your mum, the parrots, transportation etc. I remember thinking back how you persevered through these things, and started appreciating the more subtle changes that were starting to happen emotionally and mentally.

I had a strong interest and passion for finding true and vibrant health. I knew colonics and cleansing were the way to go.

From my own experience of also having recently completed my 1st cleanse, I can also sense an improvement in the way I deal with issues (emotional and mental). I know that if you keep up all the good practices you will see/feel major changes in your health and vitality (not just physical health).

This is the best thing that you have ever done for yourself, and all this at the age of 22. Brilliant. I look forward to seeing how you progress over the years on your cleansing experiences.

PS hope you've fully settled in up in Portland, and wish you lots of happiness in your new home. Take care Amari.
