Hello Everyone,
My name is Iwona. I’m 34 years old, happily married for 13 years, no kids yet.

My main health complains are chronic constipation and fatigue.
I did my level 1 HPS Cleanse in July 2002. Everything went very smooth. I had good results; clear a lot of bad stuff from my colon.
Finally it is time for my second cleanse. For me it is an easy part of the program.

I had really hard time following post-cleanse diet.
I went back to my bad eating habits shortly after my cleanse. I was disappointed with myself.
I felt like big failure. Of course my cleansing friends were there for me.
Joshua had told me that my cleanse was going just fine. It was a little bit shocking.
Then I read this daily inspiration he posts:

“People may fail many times, but they become failures only when they begin to blame someone else”

I was blaming only myself but I decided to stop blaming and stop feeling bad about myself.
Now I’m taking day by day trying to do my best to help my body heal.
I have good and bad days but my focus stay the same, I try to do better next day.

Getting back good health is very long process but thanks to HPS-on line I’m on the right path.
With my level 2 cleanse I will be two steps closer to my goal.

Thank you Joshua and my fellow cleansers for your support and guidance in my cleansing journey.

Love and Light, Iwona

Hi Iwona,

That is a great approach and a wonderful attitude! We can't change the past, so what better way than trying to do better each day?

Iwona,

Welcome back to the group and congratulations on moving forward to Level 2. I too did some backsliding after Level 1 when I got overloaded at work so I understand where you're coming from. On the one hand you know that this is the right path, but on the other hand inertia sets in and you start falling back onto bad habits.

As someone I used to work with would say. . . Fix the problem not the blame. I think you got yourself to the point where that's exactly what you're going to do.

Look forward to following your progress.

Thank you Fran and Jake for being here for me.
I will really try harder this time because I’m tired of feeling tired.

Iwona,

I identify with you and can feel your pain of back sliding. Good for you in identifying that you need to be nice to yourself through your process of making better choices. I struggle daily with letting myself know that I'm good and that I'm doing my best.

Take a look at all the wonderful comments made on my board by all the loving people here on the site. I'm sure some of those comments will apply to you too. I feel so grateful to have everyone here for support! This has made a huge difference for me.

You are in my thoughts. When will you be doing your level 2? Keep us posted!

Your friend,

Iwona,

Congratulations on starting Level 2! Looks like we'll be cleansing buddies...I'm just starting precleanse for Level 2, too.

I SO understand what you mean about going back to former habits. I was very motivated during my Level 1, and was actually surprised to find myself pretty quickly going back to my former, 'easier' habits after the formal cleanse. Jos-hua reminds us often that this is a process, and we're learning and growing every day. That helps me remember not to beat myself up when I am not 'perfect'!

I'm really, really excited about Level 2, especially the books we'll be reading. I laughed when I read somewhere in the intro information that we've learned how to crawl, now we'll start learning how to walk!

I'm looking forward to sharing this experience with you, and learning from each other.

Warmly,
Sue_R

Hi Iwona!

I have just read your intro. I have been there too! I thought the formal cleanse was it and forgot about the postcleanse...

Too many hassle with emails, instructions, herbs and so on...so I went back to the old habits for a while...

I actually learned a lot from these "failures" . Sticking to the plan for 100% would be too good to be true, wouldn't it?

This doesn't mean I am not serious about going all the way to vibrant health! As long there is progress and learning...

In the Level 1 I was so strict on the pre-cleanse and formal cleanse that I had nothing left for the post-cleanse.

Now, I had a pre-cleanse that was so so, and am on the formal cleanse, but I just look at it as a new start for changing my eating habits afterwards.

I really focus on the post-cleanse new habits I want to make part of my routine...and this in turn is a preparation again for the next level...and so on.

As you are into meditating you will agree with me that there is not just the issue of "eating right". What about thinking, speaking and living right? These are the really important issues and I have found that the cleaner I get the easier it becomes to make the distinction.

It just gets easier...no miracles, but still progress on the road and yes, just like when you go hiking you can slide back, but then you just pull yourself together and get on...

As for the Saints, there was no perfection there too! Just read St Augustine's Confessions: he was a great saint and I love many of his comments, but also a great sinner! (I think it is a good choice to postpone saintliness for a little while yet...)

I am writing this as much for my own education as for the interest of others, because perfection has a lot of attraction to me.

But on the other hand, as in one of the inspirations Joshua put on... it can be so boring!

Have a perfect or rather good cleansing day...

Hi Iwona,

One day at a time. The serenity prayer has so many applications! It is appropriate here as well.

I look forward to reading your posts.

Hi Iwona,

I enjoyed reading your level 2 intro.

I think that some habits are so ingrained, that it may take several cleanses, pre and post cleanses, and a lot more reading and educating ourselves before we are able to totally make changes.

Some habits are so comfortable that it is really hard to change everything all at once. I think that if we just go a day at a time like has been mentioned, trying our best to do what is good for our health, then little by little we will make those changes that will last a lifetime.

Good luck on level 2
Love,
Tisha

I read people's posts and feel they are getting such good advise and I glean so much from what I read, but I don't feel I have much to contribute. I will contribute support for your experience and those who replied to you. I have been overwhelmed by the instructions and e-mails, but I also know that unless I check in and read some of the posts, I drift from my resolve to continue to seek health and cleansing. I am thinking of my second cleanse and I want to be prepared and have as much success as I felt I had with my first cleanse. Good luck and success, Kay M
