Hi!

My name is Sue, I'm 36 years old, and I live in Arizona.

I did my Level 1 cleanse several months ago, and I'm really looking forward to Level 2.

Immediately after Level 1, I made a major decision; I moved from a very large city to a small town high in the mountains, and my life has been changing really quickly. I decided I wanted to live a much healthier lifestyle, closer to nature. I've been thrilled with the move, and am getting settled into my new community.

I know in my heart that part of the reason I was able to make such a quick decision to follow what I truly wanted was because of the work I've done with HPS and this group...cleansing inside manifests itself externally in our lives.

I am also SO ready to learn more about this adventure we've started - I truly feel like I'm just a very beginner at all of this, and I fall 'off the wagon' pretty regularly. Habits are pretty ingrained, aren't they?! I keep noticing my progress and encouraging myself, and know that I'm moving in the direction I want to.

I continue to eat more sugar than I want to, and definitely notice how it affects my energy levels. During Level 1, I completely lost my desire for sugar, and during my post-cleanse started eating it again. I thought "what will one piece of chocolate hurt?". Sounds like an alcoholic about one drink, hmmm? I'm learning that, for me, cold turkey is a LOT easier than 'I'll just cut down on sugar'.

Smiling as I'm learning...!

Warmly,
Sue_R

Sue

Looking forward to your Level 2. I remember your Level 1 very well. Congrats on making the move to a small town! How wondeful it must feel to take action and see your dreams realized!! I know all about the sugar-I have the same story myself. I recently spoke to a friend of mine about how very much this addiction correlates to alcohol or any other substance addiction for that matter. We are learning a lot and making small but vital steps to overcoming the sugar drug.
Cheers! tina_A

Hi Sue,

Welcome to level 2. I can relate to the sugar issue, too. I have just recently wanted sugary foods. I have not desired or craved sugar for so long. I guess I have some weird issues coming out. I think maybe I was close to getting totally rid of the cravings and my body took over and showed me who was still in charge;)

I agree that cold turkey is often the easiest way to deal with things that you no longer want to be a part of your life. It is just that everyone eats and so food, I think, is a harder issue to deal with.

I loved level 2. I hope you will, too.
Love,
Tisha
