Hi,

Originally posted on 10-31-02.

My name is Connie M. I am a divorced mother of two sons - Ross-24, Ryan-22. I teach math at a treatment center for adolescents.

I have always thought of myself a being healthy because I rarely miss work. I watch what I eat (had been on a low carb diet with plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables to control my weight), and I exercise almost every day. However, I live with pain every day (arthritis of the spine). I also have high cholesterol, hot flashes, and allergy/sinus problems.

Two weeks ago when I learned about this program from a friend, who had amazing results, I felt hopeful. I read the first part of R's book and immediately cut out all dairy products, most meat, and began proper food combining. I already have more energy.

I am excited about beginning this program and being involved in the support group. My only fear is that I will do something wrong and not meet my goals. My main short-term goal is to be pain free. Long-term - pain free? The sky is the limit.

Hi Connie, Thanks for the advice on the wheat. I never heard that before, I dont have alot of allergies but the few i have hopefully will go away. I was changing everything to find out what was causing that eczema, including some foods but I got frustrated with my-self and all these Doctors. I've always been the type of person who hated taking meds. It just felt wrong to me and I'm suprised it took me so long to change my lifestyle. Well I'm really happy to have met you and I wish you all the best. I read today not to fear failure, I havent even started the formal cleanse so I feel kinda funny giving advice to people but I feel like i learning so much and it's exciting. Well I hope to hear from you again, Thanks so much for you support.
