Hi group,

I'm eager to begin my next level of cleansing. I am 34 and live in Colorado. I stumbled across the hps site last September and did my first cleanse in November. It was an enlightening experience to say the least.

I first started looking into colon cleansing due to a persistent pain in my lower right abdomen that I have had for about 12 years. I have seen many doctors and always it remained undiagnosed. I also suffered from horrible and almost daily headaches and low energy.

The level 1 cleanse opened my eyes. I discovered information about food and its impact on my body that was completely foreign to me. I realize that I have barely brushed the surface of all there is to learn about nutrition, cleansing, breathing, etc. It has at times been overwhelming but always worthwhile.

I have implemented some of the things very well and others, not so well. I still love and indulge in sugar. Since the formal cleanse, I have gone days to weeks without any and though I wish this was completely out of my life, I feel that this is a huge step, as I went the last 34 years having it almost daily. So at least my body has had breaks, albeit sporadic and short lived.

I still have pain in my side, though it has definitely lessened. The headaches have really improved.

I am eager for Level 2, but must also admit, I am not looking forward to the restricted pre cleanse diet and some of the not so pleasant things involved with the formal. So I am acknowledging those feelings, and taking the first steps to begin the process. Since I know that often one just has to make a start and then the energy and enthusiasm follows.
Cheers, Tina A

Dear Tina:

Welcome back!! I know all too well what it is like to dread the cleansing process, and you have done the best possible thing by just jumping in and doing it. I had to hurry up and post my pre-cleansing post with a start date so that I couldn't back out. After that, it was pretty easy.

I have to say that now that I am in the middle of it I am once again glad that I'm here.

I'll be looking forward to seeing what this level of cleansing reveals.

All the best,
Susan L

Hi Tina,

Welcome back for level 2. I think you have come a long way, too. I think we all have lapses to the familiar as far as food goes.

I think that whatever health issues you still have, the best and (dare I say only )way of getting rid of this crud is through cleansing. It may take a level 3 or a fifth or eighth cleanse, but this is certainly better than surgery or being reliant of pills for the rest of your life.

Hang in there.
Love,
Tisha

Tina,

Welcome to Level 2!

You've made SOOO much progress...and like you said, we've only scratched the surface. We're going to learn a lot more during this Level 2!

Keep being really, really loving and supportive to yourself; it can sometimes feel like 2 steps forward and 1 step back (or 1 step forward and 3 steps back!)...remember, the general direction is still always forward. :)

I'll be watching your posts, and cheering you on!

Hi Tina,
I could relate to your sugar issues. I am anxious to read about your successes over the next few weeks. I couldn't imagine being 100% in the pre-cleanse when I started in December, but Michelle made up a chart and I marked on the calendar each day and I was able to mark 100% each day I ate the right foods. I soon saw that I had 100% for each day and I felt a REAL sense of accomplishment. I have to read the support group posts to continue or I begin to taste things I don't want in my diet. I have had no chocolate since December and I find that to be significant. I think eating chocolate was causing my heat to beat hard when I was trying to go to sleep at night. Imagine curing such a worry with eating no chocolate. I am glad your side ache is diminishing. I hope you find more healing with your next cleanse. Take it one day at a time. Good luck and thanks for sharing.
Best to you, Kay M
