Hi Folks,
I'm planning to start my cleanse on May 2 and have been busy reading & have ordered the initial items; board, kit, books, etc.
I'm a pretty healthy person overall and as such do try and eat right. No doubt I could do better in the green leafy veggies area though. I probably consume way too much coffee but it's sort of part of the high tech industry that I live in.
I'm cleansing because for a couple of reasons; 1) I've read some great things about the benefits coupled with my new knowledge from 7DW and 2) I simply have this attached sense if-you-will that my bowels could (and my overall self) benefit from a new and relatively fresh baseline.
So, I'll probably grow more apprehensive (but eager) as that May 2 date rolls around but in the meantime I'll certainly enjoy getting further educated through my reading and chatting with you folks.

Hi Patrick
Welcome to the group. You will be surrounded by a great group of helpful folks who have the same interests that you do. Get rid of the bad habits that are adversely impacting our lives and set the conditions for improved health and vitality. Its a great trip. Enjoy the materials and ask questions galore.
Mindfulness becomes a mantra at times and will really help you focus. I've completed 3 levels and I still have more to learn. Its a process that takes time and patience.

Greetings from another Pat,
Glad to hear you are progressing toward your level one and becoming more mindful of your habits.
I had been a coffee drinker for many many years before this program and the idea of no more coffee was hard to bare at first. I didn't go cold turkey but tapered off by using decaf mixed with regular for a while and then all decaf and then switched to alternatives like a tablespoon of unsulfered molasses mixed with hot water or herbal teas.
This plan worked well for me. Now I can even serve coffee to guests without being tempted by it. Even though I enjoy the smell, the taste is disappointing. As our bodies become less acidic our taste for acid producing foods diminishes.
I'll be thinking of my cleansing friend, the other Pat, on May 2...I'll remember even though I'll be far away as it's my big 6-0 birthday.
Best of luck to you!
Love and Light,
Pat

Welcome Pat!
BTW, I was a heavy coffee drinker for years and years before I started my level 1. I drank close to a pot of coffee a day...if not more.
Anyhow, I did give it up cold turkey and have rarely missed it. I read so much about how acidifying it was to my system and just decided that I didn't want it anymore.
I have had one cup of coffee since last November. Amazing things will happen for you as you choose healthy over entitlement.
Love and light,

Hey Patrick!
Greetings from this cleanser in Atlanta! I congratulate you on your decision to cleanse and your mongth-long planning for it. You know how healthy or unhealthy your diet has been. The less healthy, the more pre-cleanse is needed. You've got about 2 weeks to do your reading, purchase your supplies and psychologically prepare and then two weeks to physically prepare, using the preparatory foods. You have a good plan and that will give you a good start!
Best Wishes,
Joanne
