I am excited! I will begin my level 2 on May 26.

I did my level 1 in December of last year and my word...what a difference this work has had for me.

I had done a lot of work in the past on my emotional and spiritual body, but had yet to get into any kind of routine with my physical body. HPS was the kick-start I needed for that.

In November, I decided that 2003 was going to be the year I took care of my body. I have since lost about 50 lbs and feel and look like a different person. I went through all my old clothes, and had to buy new ones as they were all too big.

Prior to this program, I did no exercise besides walking to the fridge to get a beer. I ate everything, drank everything...I drank a pot of coffee a day, a six pack of diet rootbeer, and several bottles of beer or a bottle of wine...every day!

I have drank no coffee or soda since November, I drink very little alchohol, and reciently gave up meat, chicken and pork (I am working on my compassion for sea creatures...)

I run 5-6 times a week for 2 1/2 miles -- I have run over 150 miles this year. I do my Tibs each morning...I was coincidently introduced to these back in October -- by someone unrelated to HPS.

I start the day with fresh juice. I drink lots of water--another improvement. I usually drink hot tea or water until lunch, then I just crave salads...yet another change. My appetite has changed conciderably, I don't crave junk or sweets...I actually crave salads.

I have adopted the habit of fasting every Sunday...Also, a couple of times when I thought I was going to get ill, I fasted for a couple of days and it fixed me right up!

For level 2, I look forward to really getting with the 5-fold path. Though I have been very aware of my combining, exercise, and massage, I have totally skipped the part about seeing a TCM doctor, acupuncture or sun work. Also, I want to incorporate breathing into my daily program as well.

My goals then are to get cleaner, and to deepen my daily routine and practice to include those missing elements. My morning ritual currently takes me 3 hours from the time I get up, to the time I leave for the office. So I will either need to get up earlier, or get more efficient...we shall see.

Love and light,

Hey David, I guess we've already been introduced, but let me be the first to say welcome to level 2--although I'm not there yet, so maybe congrats is the kind of word I should use. Whichever. Good to see you going forward after the level 1.

Much of your prior behavior describes my current situation, although it's been some years since I was inclined to drink alcohol every day, and I can't say I've ever liked diet soft drinks of any sort. But you can throw smoking on top of the heap and infernal laziness, and that pretty much sums me up.

I learned about tibs last year too (also an unrelated source), and up until about 2 months ago was doing 21 first day in the morning, faithfully (never tried the 6th rit, though). Since it's not mentioned in the level 1 stuff, I figured I'd better skip it until my formal fast is over...it's a good thing to get one reintegrated into an exercise routine.

The best part for me is how well you've maintained your daily habits. With the dedication that's taken you this far, I bet level 2 brings you to great and sustained new heights.

David,

Congratulations on getting to this point. You have made a lot of changes and a lot of progress, and I'm sure there will be more ahead. I'll send you the name of my TCM doctor privately. You will only have to drive half as far as I do.

David,

It is great to hear what you have to say.

I will start my level 1 precleanse soon and one of my issues is alcohol. I am in the restaurant biz and it is hard to abstain. Since my sign up with Hps I have started a "one day on", "one day off" approach to all alcohol (including wine). It hasn't been too hard and it is amazing how my staff and clients have reacted.

It looks like hps really changed your life for the better and I am hoping it will do the same for me.

peace,

Greetings David,

I too used to initially have to spend 2 to 3 hours, but as you progress along this path by level 4 you'll get it down to 20-40 minutes a day.. and that is no burden or obstacle, at all.

Sounds great how HPS geled with all the other things you are/were/will dodoing..

So happy that you are here with us, for us. Thanks again for your trust.

Looking forward to many more inspiring posts from you... they keep getting better all the time. ;)

Wishing you all the best, vibrant health, peaceful mind, and happiness!

peace

BTW, 10 years ago prior to cleansing, I used to drink a lot of alcohol, maybe 10 beers a day, daily!! and a lot of coffee, maybe 10 cups a day. Tsang was witness. ;)

so, what I wanted to say here friends, is that it disappears.... by level 4 it just doesn't happen anymore....With effort, without effort, with conscious awareness, without consciousness, with support or without... it gradually disappears as mind, body and internal organs cleanse and purify themselves.

I did go during the last 10 cleansing years 3 or 4 or was it 5 years without even tasting a glass of wine or beer, but now these last two years, I am more relaxed about the whole thing... sometimes I'll have a beer or a glass or two (sometimes even three :p ) of wine on its own, or sometimes with a meal or when out socializing... why not? Harmony.... with my body, mind and with others...

Good yeast in the beer, good grapes in the wine,,,, they say good for heart muscles and circulation. My grandma lived to 104... from the age of 50 she used to take a shot of whiskey every night, a small one, just a shot... with a lot of peacefulness and awareness it was done...

I see that now as well. I had to go without for several months before I could tell for sure if it was habit or if it was in the flow. Now I find myself having an ocasional beer or glass of wine ( or 2.)

I did have a vision regarding hard alcohol -- I was meditating on a beach several years ago, and I had a vision that came to me and told me that beer and wine had life, but that hard alcohol had nothing...no spirit.

I drink hard liquor very rarely now ... even though I question whether the vison ever actually ocurred.

Wow! YOu have made some incredibly positive changes in your life. Good for you. I too am really looking forward to your Level 2 and the increasing strength you will find on this path. 2 to 3 hrs in the morning?? Wow, my ritual takes me 30 minutes so I applaud your dedication!
