Hi Folks,
I'm planning to start level 3 this weekend (5/24).
Its been an incredible journey. Since starting my first cleanse I've been cured of lifelong depression. Most of the time now I'm just down right happy.
I know that because of cleansing I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer sooner rather than later. So I guess you could say, it has saved my life. Because of cleansing, I tolerated chemotherapy beautifully. My doctor says he's never seen a more perfect recovery.
Because of cleansing, I believe I am a more tolerant and patient human being.
Since my second cleanse I have experienced a continuous surge in energy and my sleep is more deep and restful.
The biggest obstacle I still face is my eating habits and exercising regularly. I love food. All kinds. And exercise Is just not one of my favorite things to do. I'm hoping that at some point there will be a shift in my awareness concerning these things. "Just do it" doesn't seem to cut it with me. Although I did just complete an all night relay walk for the American Cancer Society. Its was alot of fun. Hey, maybe I've stumbled onto something. Disipline in these areas is not my strongsuit. If anyone has any insight, I'd love to hear it. Thanks.

Joy,
I used to love to exercise, but I got out of the habit for so long I just couldn't get back to it. The tibs are doing wonders for me, so I am doing them faithfully (and going slowly). I can't seem to find time in my schedule for tai chi or walking, so I always take the stairs and park on the outer edges of parking lots. At home I manage to move a lot around the house and in the garden.
I look forward to reading your Level 3 posts. Have a good one!

Joy,
Having tried several approaches to exercise...on again and off again, my best approach has been to 'just do it.'
I am currently on a exercise routine which has been pretty stable and coincides with my first cleanse... I guess I started looking at it like I did with the cleansing. That is, I am on a health path. So when I stop, I know it is just a break -- kinda like a food binge. I just pick back up and start exercising again.
What I know is that this particular exercise streek has lasted about 5 months...so I will let you know in another 5 if it has held up.:)
Love and light,

Joy,
Good for you and all you've done for yourself. You're so very inspiring!
I know what you're saying about loving food! I do to, and it's a daily struggle for me, but I think I'm doing OK. To keep me on track, I keep a fitness folder around and just looking at it reminds me of my goals that are written inside. Sometimes I write down everything I eat down, and sometimes I just write my feelings and commit to changing one bad habit that day. Today I did great with the simple goal of not eating between meals or after dinner. I did it and feel great!
I don't know what to say about the exercise. I am currently struggling with cutting back as I love it so much. I think I've been excercising too much for 13 years, so I'm trying to stick with the tibs - but I still sneak in some running.
Have a wonderful cleanse,

Thanks for the insight guys.
Louise, when I pull into a parking lot I always tell myself "I'm so lucky, I always find a spot up front." And about 80% of the time I do....guess I need to stop doing that and just walk it.
It's not like I don't get any exercise. I walk the dog almost everyday and my job is very physical at times. I think thats one of the things stopping me from setting up a regular workout schedule. After I've worked all day (sometimes 12 hours a day) the last thing I want to do is come home and workout.
Michelle, I like your idea about writing down everything you eat. I think I'll give that a try after level 3 and see if that will help me become more aware of what I'm putting in my mouth.
Thanks again guys............................joy

I also started on my Level 3 and considering the health problems you have tackled so far I am impressed by what a determined person and this program can do!
As for energy and exercise: I have to say that the tibs are all you need to turn into a really fit person, believe me! Even 5- 7-12 reps every morning give you good results in almost no time! 21 reps is really an energy boost!
How to do it? Step by step!
I know it is easier said then done except in this case it only takes 10' to max 20'
It really is the best and most efficient set of exercices I have come across so far...
I wish you the very best on the road to vibrant health!

Hi Joy,
Right now I am enjoying the energy boost I get from the tibs.
Maybe if you can find some physical activity that you enjoy, you can think of it as recreation rather than a workout. Have you tried pilates, yoga, etc.?

Hi, Joy.
I am inspired by your opening remarks. It seems that you have a very accurate name. I hope we all can claim light, insight, health and happiness from this cleanse and experience as you have.
Well, it sounds like you DO get some activity in your day. I used to think that because I didn't schedule a time to exersize, then I must not be fit. But I would go to work in a hot, intense kitchen in which I would run everywhere, lift pots and pans and 8 gallons of Soup de Poisson, saute all night, sweat my butt off and drink over 2 gallons of water in 10 hours. I was thin, very muscular, and quite tired after work. I got plenty of exersize...and I got paid to do it - and lots of culinary training at that. Pretty cool.
So you get paid to exersize, too. That's pretty cool. Most people get paid to sit down.
Perhaps someone on this thread can enlighten me: What is tibs? Where on the site or in which book can I learn about this efficient form of exersize?
Thanks,
Rachel

Hi Rachel,
Tibs is one of those things that Jos-hua introduces you to when the time is right. Part of the fun of this program is anticipation of new things ... you read tidbits about this or that and you wonder what it is, and you can't wait to find out and put it into practice.
Relish the anticipation. All things in time.

Thanks for the insight.
I believe in the process just as strongly as the final destination. Waiting for something when the time is right is..refreshing. It's not often that people respect that anymore. So, for those of you who tib, more power to you!
Joy, again, my thoughts are with you.

hey Joy,
I wa reading your intro to see what kind of practioner you are??
As for exercise I was active in studying Modern Dance in NYC in my twenties, God I loved it so much. But a demanding job in NY got me away from it and I never quite did get into the gym thing no matter where I joined. But I did ride my bike for transportation so that helped and NYC is so physical etc.
But this year ( I have been living in Mexico for over three years) I decided that being over fourty I needed more than yoga I needed some aerobic activity and some habit of bone density forming for the osteoperosis thing.
Well the "Curves " gyms concept is rampant in the US and they have them here for women only. I love it a thirty min workout three times a week . It changes your body, mind and aerobic and weight resistant and fun.
Check it out there everywhere and knock off gyms too.
Hope it helps the info.
