Greetings HPS Cleansing friends!

I'm going to do a poll for each level of HPS 7 Day Wonder (7DW) cleansing...

so please vote in the above poll when you finish your introductory 7DW level 1 cleanse, not before... the above poll is only for the 7DW level 1.

It will be interesting over the years to see how these polls develop... at each level are we touching the same bases, or are we touching different dimensions of our being as we progess into advanced cleansing...

Lets see in all in a simple graph.

Healing, rejuvenation, renewal and sustainable growth is a process, not an event, not a procedure... these polls allow us to visually review the processes in action.

For the person on the sidelines who wants to learn more about the HPS 7DW guided supervised programs, click here. (http://www.hps-online.com/home/order.htm)

Hi friends,

I chose 'other', because in fact, my very first cleanse didn't really bring any changes or results... what did happen is finally by day 9 something moved (physically within the colon), and I understood that ok, I'll have to come back and try again... the six months in between (Level 1 to Level 2), I was attached imbilically to the Tao of Health, Sex, and Longevity (wouldn't go anywhere without it by my side) and I spent a lot of effort and time learning about habits and making habit changes (it is a process isn't it, that is what i learnt), step by step, with the exact same successes and failures (two steps forward, 5 steps backwards in my personal case) and all that goes with those thoughts, going through the exact same processes you all are now after your Level 1... but anyway, in Level 2 things started big time... I will vote there in that Level 2 poll once i get it up and running.

Looking forward to seeing this poll over the coming 24-36 months, it will be most interesting, no?

Peace to all

Hi Joshua,

I lost 11 lbs during my cleanse and gained 7 back. This means that 4 lbs of goop was eliminated from my body :D ! I can't wait to do my next cleanse. Just knowing that this stuff was eliminated from my colon makes me very happy :) !

I guess there is also a significant emotional effect because, for me, I really enjoyed the experience knowing that I was helping my body help itself. After reading/learning all the great things that occur during a fast, I was very motivated to do the program. I am hooked for life! :)

Thanks for the question!

In my Level 1 cleanse, I had mainly physical changes in that I lost weight and certainly my insides became cleaner. However, I did have quite a bit of desire for food or thoughts of food even though I was not physically hungry. The same thing happened to an even greater degree when I did Level 2 last October. I suppose that would be considered a "mental" challenge or perhaps "emotional". But I voted "physical" because the changes mainly took place there.

I'm not sure if I should vote for the Level 2 poll yet, as I will be doing Level 2 once more in the coming weeks.

Peace,
Saurabh

I voted mental but I'm not sure that's exactly it. There's definitely some physical benefits, but it's the awareness of the impact of what we put into our body that characterised my first cleanse. I did a juice fast before and was mindful of food combining for a while. After a couple of months old habits took over.

This time around, having been involved in so much reading (the emails, the posts etc) and seeing what comes out and having my other half involved in the cleanse as well, the awareness has taken a much stronger hold. Continued involvement in the forum and plans to do other levels also help maintain that awareness and mindfulness.

For me was the physical change. Before starting the level 1 i felt my intestine was so full that it had affected my flexibility. I could not bend or even sit comfortably without feeling the fullness in my guts. With this physical changes there were some emotional changes for me too that came as secondary effects of the cleanse.

This is an interesting question. At first, I started on this journey for the physical changes. What I realized, however, that it is my attitude and perception that has actually changed. The physical changes have occurred only because of these "emotional" (for lack of a better term) changes. Just realized this now...Thanks for the question :)

I was suffering from these issues at one point or another. The cleanse, however, not only changed my mood but it made me more spiritual and lustful for life.

I'd have to say mental. It took a lot for me to do this for "myself" and going through it made me feel important and worthwhile doing something this monumental for my body. It did change my body physically but the most change was with the mind. It's more calmer, stable and more open to what goes on "inside."
I like where it's going!

I would say that mental & spiritual were the strongest factors for me. Physically I didn't change much as far as weight dropping. Perhaps I'll notice that more in upcoming levels. Emotional issues came up for me, like my use of food as a crutch. The idea of not eating for that length of time mentally exhausted me. Plus the whole idea of what was coming out of me really made me think.

It's hard not to go back to some habits and stay on this path, especially if you live with people who don't understand or are skeptical. We'll see what the next level brings.

Level one for me was physical. Blood pressure down to normal. No more acid refux, GERD or IBS. Lost fifteen pounds - went up and down on the last five for a few weeks, but that was okay. Stayed down eventually.

The biggest change I experienced was definitely physical. I lost between 10-15 pounds, my stomach pouch dissapeared. It's very easy now for me to tell which foods disrupt my natural balance. I have much less gas and I never feel bloated or that I ate too much. I no longer crave foods in an unhealthy way.

While all areas have been affected, the main changes have been Physical.

One word to describe my level 1 is: Reversal.

I have had to turn around and now am headed in the direction of a healthy lifestyle. I have a long way to go but my future is full of hope and promise.

I voted physical because I had a net loss of weight (even after gaining some back) and my allergies have not returned even once, so that is a very real 'objective' physical benefit, My MD, after tests, could only prescribe typical 'masking' drugs, he made no real attempt to address the cause...

I am healthier, more energetic and just feel-better-more-often since completing level one. My eating habits are better, without effort or strain, my appetite is for healthier food choices.

Cheers, Andy

I would have to say that with my first cleanse, the biggest changes were defenitly physical more than anything else. I lost about 18 pounds during the cleanse, and during the post cleanse I only put about 8 pounds back on. I also lost some swelling in my neck and face. Also the bloating in my stomach has went down.

I also have a lot more energy!

Definitely physical as well as a mental adjustment.
I feel so wrapped to be on this path now. For so long I was almost there. Now, especially as I am getting on, I feel it is absolutely necessary to take the time and effort to make a big change for the better in my health. No one else will do it for you as we all know.

I had a lot of physical improvements, including skin and energy and bowel movements. I look forward to doing the next cleanse as soon as the semester finishes. It's so much easier to do 24 hour fasts, and resist unhealthy foods, and feel the immediate effects of miscombining foods.

The best thing is the movitation that comes with the cleanse. If your body is dirty, it's hard to move to a healthy lifestyle, because you don't see any results. But with a clean slate, all the motivation is there to live well.

Live well,
Andrew

Lost a few pounds of body fat and had more energy initially. The fat seems to have stayed off although I haven't stepped on a scale and done the body fat analyzer to verify that. Clothes are still a little looser than they were before I started. Energy levels dropped off within a week or so of finishing the cleanse. Stress could have been partly to blame. Will be exploring some other avenues until I can afford to try level 2. Until then, take care! :)

I voted emotional but there were physical issues esp constipation. I persevered during that cleanse with the help of other cleansers despite the challenges I met. I feel that during L2 I will be much more prepared.

I would have to say spiritual because I actually experienced a spiritual rebirth several weeks after the cleanse.

other is the choice. while physical results were apparent i developed an emotional balance and awareness of my mentality that i had not experienced previous to the cleanse.

physically: brighter eyes, pinker tongue, clearer vibrant skin, more elasticity of muscle

emotionally: balance and patience

mentally: the development of openess to others and my own thoughts and feelings....the 'wassup' experience, the learning to welcome all openly....

these all intertwine, especially i think the emotional and mental, but i anticipate and hope that they will become more distinct in the upcoming cleanse-life. what an opportunity to live!

this program is really a revolution in terms of my physical body resulting in a new awareness of how what we eat and the ensuing process are fundamental to feeling better, looking better and reversing the aging process. this is just one part of a physical/spiritual revolution in my life right now and i feel blessed to have found it. i can't imagine that anyone who has been through this program would not agree 100%. peace!

I feel layers of physical benefits like confidence in my bowel elasticity and abilities, flat tummy, no gas. On other levels, I am feeling light and unbloated, not hungry, no cravings, and easily satisfied with simple foods,

Are those physical or emotional benefits? The line is watery, and thankfully so. The whole spiritual journey is enhanced with cleansing; I now know that empirically, which is vastly empowering to me. Thanks, Jeanine :)

As most of you know already to me getting off BP meds and having that stabilize to normal was a great benefit. Add to that the energy I now have and I am totally happy. Those 2 things were all that I hoped to achieve.

When ones physical self is trouble free its easier to stay emotionally positive and focused also.

I do notice that I look at things from an "oh well tomorrow is another day" attitude more now. For me that is a quantum leap.

So bottom line is ... if there was nothing more from this program coming in L2, L3 or L4 I am totally satisfied.

I can not imagine getting better than this ... but I am going to see :)

Although I had a lot of revelations and clearing on the mental/emotional levels, the physical changes in level 1 were phenomenal!

My chronic yeast infections disappeared during the pre-cleanse when I gave up sugar and processed foods. My athlete's foot disappeared during the formal, even though I stopped the doctor-prescribed medication! I also effortlessly dropped 20 pounds in 2 months, and increased my energy level and mental clarity.

And flexibility returned without doing a bunch of yoga or stretching!

I am really looking forward to level 2 and the next level of health!

For me, level 1 only acted at the physical level. However, I do feel that can do more, and by that I mean mentally and spiritually. I hope subsequent level will address that.

... so I'm signed up for them!

Although my physical reactions were substantial and took place without signs of hinderance or stagnation, I feel that the biggest difference in my life from Level 1 is mental in character. I have performed cleansing before. But this time around the immediate experiences of effects are of being cooler, calmer, more focused, more energetic, more rested after sleep, less tired after work and lighter in mood. I am happier both after the cleanse itself and about the prospect of its continuation. I realize more clearly now that a depression was at the root of my problems at the outstart, because of the lifting of the fog.

I chose 'emotional' and the reason for that was after my level 1, initially I felt very tired which I did not expect at the time. Then came the levelling out of feeling brighter and since then my physical ailments float around me, and some days they feel stronger than others. The great thing is I know these are reversing, going back to where they came from-nowhere! ;). What's more evident is that my emotions have hit hard and fast recently, but they seem to lift quite quickly as the fog thins out. Thanks to my HPS buddies.

Although I voted "physical results and issues" I really felt a lot of "emotional" relief as well.

I also feel much less fearful to do my next levels. So much of successful cleansing is just overcoming mental obstacles it seems and taking it one step at a time.

I voted emotional because I have only eaten sugar twice in the last two months and this is a huge blessing because I couldn't go a whole day without eating sugar and so much of it is tied to my emotions. I look forward to seeing the physical, spiritual, emotional, and mental changes on the coming levels!
Take care,
Heather

Hi,

I voted for "physical results and changes" because that was my intent when I joined - I wanted positive physical changes - and that's what I got!

I also think that I have calmed down emotionally because the stress of uncertainty is now gone. No matter what things I tried to do to get better, I still felt like I was venturing into unknown territory. There were always questions, "Did what I eat yesterday cause this?" "Did what I take last week help this?" and on and on and on...

Being part of the hps family has given me a foundation of health knowledge - that I didn't have to be responsible to discover for myself. So, yes my mind is much more restful.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.
with love,
Dorothea

I voted physical, but if I had to use my own one word it would be opportunity. Having the opportunity to be able to do something positive and effective for your health and be guided with the knowledge and expertise and experience of Jos-hua, HPS, and the HPS Community, has truly been a fantastic opportunity.

There are golden nuggets out there and most anybody can come along and pick them up. It does not get much better than that.

Much Thanks.

Hi,

I came to HPS to help get rid of my hayfever and other nasal allergy symtoms. I believe that my allergies are history (or certainly will be soon) thanks to my level 1 cleanse - so yes I voted physical results and changes.

I have to add though, that since the start of my post cleanse, I have felt much calmer for longer periods, my awareness and appreciation of things, thoughts, issues and feelings is increasing, and I am even more positive about my future. So for me, there has been a mental change too.

I am relieved to have found a program (and a supporting community) here at HPS that will help me achieve a healthy, enjoyable future.

I voted "Physical results and changes" as well. I lost close to 16 lbs during the formal, then gained back about 13.

I have a feeling that L2 will be the same due to the fact that I've gained a TON of weight in between. Guess I'm still full of shit! hahahaha:p

I voted "Physical results and changes" due to mainly the weight loss(~15 pounds) as well as the internal cleansing. However, I also noticed emotional changes(calmer more stable mind) maybe as a side effect of the physical.

Great stuff.

Chris
P.S - as of this writing I have not gained back any of the weight :)

Aloha friends,

I voted "physical" but wish I couldn't voted for both physical and emotional at the same time!

Physically I lost 8 lbs, got much more aware and in control of my eating habits and started a whole slew of practices to continue with.

Emotionally and mentally I experienced a lot of processing, release and clarity.

Looking forward to level 2 in a couple months!
