Lot of physical changes on this level too, but I voted "mental" this time as this was probably the first level where I really began to understand a lot of lessons that had been building up over the long term. The extended pre-fast in particular taught me a lot about what it's like to spend a sustained period following the best dietary guidelines.

It is difficult to give a lot of specifics to my answer to this question, but I finally voted for "emotional". The month prior to starting the pre-cleanse and the month of pre-cleanse were times of very heightened emotional awareness and sensitivity. Besides the bereavement issue which is always just under the surface of daily life, I can remember moments and times of great emotional sensitivity to issues. I normally process everything in the intellectual realm even though I have always been able to emphathize with people to a great degree as well. At this stage of L3, I am simply trying to listen and be aware of what is going on inside both mentally and emotionally. Indeed, any more on this health transformatioin journey I feel somewhat like an observer along for the ride. Other than my discipline to keep practicing by taking the necessary actions with diet, exercise, etc., the results are whatever comes. I cannot determine or control what they will be or when they will occur. In that regard, the grief process is just another verse to the song of life!
