When people see you, and see the changes on you, within you... and talk with you, they are open to learning more about cleansing and taking full control of their health prospects and health care strategy.

How many people have you told about HPS cleansing? That's the question of this poll.

Thanks for participating.

Jos-hua,

I have told a lot of people. I am on a homeschooling group. I posted last year about my cleanse and kept everyone up to date.

We had some good discussions about cleansing. Some people were not interested and others are still thinking about it.

I have told friends at church. Even though they can see a change in me, it is not enough to want to try cleansing. Most of the people I know are still looking for a pill to take to reclaim their health. :(

Like the saying goes, "You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink."

I guess if people get thirsty enough they will take the plunge. :D

Love,
Tisha

One of the lessons I've learnt is that telling others to do anything is practically futile. Sumina and I have always been into bettering our emotions, health, finances, relationships, etc. And sometimes we have found things that are so good, and so exciting that we're bursting to tell people about it. HPScleansing is one such thing. Now the mistake we have made is that at first we enthusiastically told people about the program and what we were doing. Even when they just asked a general initial question, we took the opportunity, in our excitement, to detail our experiences and the philosophy of cleansing. Later we toned it down a lot, and just told some general things about cleansing and its value. What we have since realized is that, for the most part, they don't want to know any of that. They are not ready for any of that.

What we are now trying to do is show others via our health habits, appearance, etc. We are waiting for people to want to know more about health .. who are truly seeking an alternative and are not just venting. If they are venting about their health problems, we will lend an ear, but we will offer some advice only if we feel they are truly seeking help. This works 100% better for us. In fact, it is the only way that truly works. This whole program from the very beginning is about taking charge of one's health: SELF CARE. So it is only effective when one seeks it out, finds it, and follows through.

Hi Jos-hua:

It has been quite easy for me to share "briefly" about what I'm "up to" with people and then refer them directly to the website, (saves much energy too).

It is obvious you have already expended a tremendous amount of heart and soul to developing this hps system.

If they are curious, (sometimes due to observing my energy or enthusiasm), they can freely go to the site and get as much info as they want. The website you have engineered: covers so much, hits the target, and nails it to the wall!

You are doing an awesome job!

Jos-hua,

I'm finding that some people are extremely interested, some much less so. People notice how healthy I look and how much energy I have, and many ask what I've been doing. I tell them briefly, and if they're interested, explain more.

It's a learning process for me, too!

Warmly,

Jos-hua:
Everyone I come in contact with I tell about the hps site. I did this after my level 1. Seems like no one wants to know anything about "that" part of their body. "More information than I really wanted to know" is the response I have gotten more often than not.

People seemed almost embarrassed to discuss this matter. It is sad. So many people out there have no idea what their body does or can do until something happens to draw attention to it. By then it is almost too late.

So now, when anyone asks me about my health or that I seem to be doing better than I was, I simply say "I have been doing colonic cleansings and changing my eating habit." The reaction I get from that statement tells me if I should proceed further or shut up.

I am so thankful for this site where we can discuss these issues regarding the colon and what comes out of it so openly. I feel like I belong in a group of same as opposed to being labeled "wierd" or "sicko".

My path is pretty much in alignment with Saurabah's. I told a number of people at first, but found that through ignorance I was judged in an unfavorable way and dismissed. Now I try to live the principles I believe in and offer advice when questioned further.

If people are interested, I refer them to the web site.

Hi Jos_hua,

When I found the web site I was really excited, my friends and co-workers had long conversations about cleansing. Most of my freinds were really interested in the information but when the discussion turned to the colenemas, the discussion turned from an adult conversation to childish comments. Now I rarely speak to anyone about my cleanse. I'm almost done with my pre-cleanse and most of my normal circle of friends have noticed my eating habits have changed (some make fun of the new diet) and how I've lost about 10 lbs. Which is amazing! Anyway I'm starting to feel more comfortable (knowledgeable) about the cleanse and I'd like to thankyou for all your help and support.

Thanks for everything, Erik_M

Hi Jos-hua,

I told my friends who seem to have health problems. I believe they will benefit from the program. To motivate them, I would like to show them how much I have changed.

Thanks,
Masashi

Having read the earlier posts to this question, it appears we are all having similar experiences.

I too enthusiastically shared too much with those closest to me.

Then I tried saying a little by email and referring people to the web site. Not ONE of them replied at all that they did or did not visit it.

So I haven't said much at all since then. I am open to suggestions though.

Dear Jos-hua--
I have told many many people of my diet change and cleansing in the past 20 months. My appearance has changed so drastically, not just my size (from a 16 to an 8) but my skin, eyes, etc. Just all the energy I have. As other have said, some listen and others to not. There are quite a few cleaning clinics here in Melbourne and a few I have talked to choose to go there even though it is quite expensive. But at least they are going.

I too, give out the site to others and let them search themselves. We can only do our best. As other have said, most just want to take a tablet and get it all fixed. SAD!!!
God bles,
Maz

But we NEVER GIVE UP!!!

I tell pretty much everyone who asks, "Watcha been up to?" :D

Most of these people know that I am not stuck in the mainstream, and I usually have some "shocking" new idea I am excited about.

Most of the responses I get are neutral to positive, but I don't go into details of colonics unless they ask.

Terry.

I am careful about who hears about HPS. I have some hopeless friends that think I have lost my mind for fasting for 7 days no matter how much I tell them that i get my body ready and then it is not hard to fast for 7 days. Some can not digest it. so I have told jus a few of my frineds that I knew would appreciate hearing about it.

I have told a number of people both friends and those newly met. All seem interested to some degree.

I give them the web address and ask them to visit the site.

I've told a few people but I've learned that it's best to let them see the difference in me then to explain what I did to get to where I am (I've only finished level 1). It's hard to share some of the things I do to cleanse to people close to me because it seems unhealthy to them (the fasting) and gross (the colonics). The more I talk about it the more I feel that their attention span is dropping and from that I feel like they think that I'm not giving them enough attention then the cleanse process that I'm working on myself!
My conclusion: The upcoming cleanses that I'll be doing I will keep track of my daily rituals, routines and emotions in a journal and keep posting because it doesn't do any good to explain it to people who don't want to understand where I get my passion to cleanse.

Love,

From my experience, you have to be very tactful about who you approach, and how, and when. People who are general not had major health problems yet, but are on the wrong track are very skeptical. When they start experiencing some health problems, they listen a little more. I have been reading a book "Natural Cure 'they' don't want you to know about" is a real wakeup call for many people. For us here at HPS it only confirms what we already know. Many people know that I cleanse and have a "special diet" about every 4 to 6 months, but they notice my lack of health issues they are experiencing. Cleansing is great. I wished the FDA and medical doctors endorsed it, but then it would cut into their drug profits.

Now that I am semi-retired I will not have the contact with the public I use to until after the first of the year. Before I started and during I told all of my close friends. They are skeptical still. Waiting for the positive effects to wear off I suppose.

Hi again Jos-hua;

I've told about 5 people about my cleanse's, and about this one,
but for some reason they just don't believe in cleansing.I really think,
or know that they don't know what it's all about, you and i realize what it takes to cleanse and to do it right,to be so dedicated, alot of will power goes into a cleanse, and for some reason there not willing to try.I don't think my wife could do it ,or my children. My children are 31,36,and41, and there not in good shape. My 36 year old has type 1 diabetes, she's had it for 30 years. What can i say?

I missed this poll before. I guess I'm in somewhat of an unusual situation, being a foreigner in a place like this, most of my contemporaries are youngish bohemian sorts, non-professionals who've come to live abroad cheaply, have more freedom from societal expectations, etc. Most people here start out partying a lot.

The fact is, in the time I've been here, I've pared my social interactions down to a minimum, I only interact with a handful of people, who are all approaching an age where maybe now they're realizing that they need to grow up. Better health is a part of that, they notice that those hangovers are getting worse, they need more time to sleep it off, etc. Everyone knows I fast, I actually did a major one before finding HPS and have a bit of a reputation for it, occasionally I run across someone who doesn't know me but has heard that I did this thing years ago.

Anyway people are open enough to the idea of fasting, but so far I haven't found anyone who's willing either to put aside their drinking/socializing life for even a few weeks, or to spend any money on fasting. To them, people who live from one paycheck to the next spending most of it on entertainment, paying for an HPS level one is about as realistic as buying a house. I've mentioned to a couple of friends that I do fasting with an online group, but until one of them shows some genuine interest, I don't intend to give any more details.

I will say one thing, as the rest of them get older, fatter, and begin developing problems, I get more notice for holding up better. Then again, I think at about my age is when a lot of them start going home to get "real" jobs, so they may not be around anymore by the time they'd be ready to get serious. I guess we'll see.

Rick
