Responding to New Wonder requesting a testimonial to be done now, up to and including the formal, but not beyond......

Well...the brighter part will be in the post, as some of you know I did get better, but here goes:

The pre was easy as our diet was already close to the alkaline diet; just had to drop sweets and tofu and dal (split peas). Felt about the same during, and did seem to drop two pounds.

The formal was easy for the first 5 days. Got used to the board — really enjoyed the idea of being able to do this in my own home (never heard of it until I ran across the HPS website.)

The the 6th and 7th day the toxins came out and contiunued coming out, making me feel lousy for another 4 days. (Felt I had to stop to get ready for company - 20 relatives visiting us and my mother, staying at our Inn and some in our house)

I learned to set aside more time to be ready in the future to go 10 days, and perhaps another few days to recuperate if necessary.

Being encouraged to go off the meds before the formal was great - found out I didn’t really need them right now.

Enjoyed rediscovering juicing fresh fruit - delicious (we’ve only been doing carrots and celery these past years.)

Over the week I dropped about 3 quarts of rubbery mucoid matter - glad to have that out of me, and glad some toxins came out of my bloodstream — I hope I didn’t drive any back in to my system by going off the fast when I still didn’t feel to well.

I also lost another 6 pounds, so 8 in all (based on my weight a few days after eating )— the scales are erratic of course during the fast — my body pressed down on the scales 3 pounds less each of the first three days, then stayed the same for 3 days, then another 5 pounds down the last day or two - total of 16 for pre and formal. I discounted the excess and sure enough it leveled off at about 8.

Based on how I feel now, there will be more good things to report on in my post testimonial.

I'm glad you mentioned you are doing this inspite of all the relatives youv'e got coming. Shows perserverence.

I was concerned when I heard that out of town relatives had decided to come for the holidays. Then decided it just might do them some good seeing what proper food combining is. I must say though- I hope they leave before I have to start using the board. Being a newbie at it, I'm not sure I'll be ready to share that!

Hi Lindsey,

Glad to see that you are already taking things that you are learning at HPS cleansing and sharing with others... it doesn't have to be a thing about lecturing, or teaching others anything, it's just more a thing about doing, and feeling good about that, and rejoicing in the benefits that others experience.

Food combining can be/should be creative, simple, pleasant and very very fulfilling. It's natural and healthy too!

I hope your guests enjoyed the meal... and yes you are right Lindsey, put your colenema board away, they won't understand it at this point... and if they do see it, you can always refer them to the threads/coments HPS cleansers made at the Anything Goes forum re "Some Cleansing Humor' opened by Sumina on 01/15/2003 colenema board, board meetings, etc, etc.
