Dear Fellow Travellers and Friends,

I had thought this would be the review I did that concentrated mainly on the actual Level 4 experience, and that it would be very soon after I completed the formal.....and that didn't happen....procrastination is still something I am working on.

That being said I want to share the I LOVED THE LEVEL 4 FORMAL EXPERIENCE. The work of the previous formals and time between them meant for the first time in my life I made space for me to be alone, the entire time plus a day or two. (leaving family - Peter plus 2 children, Oliver and Pearl) I was able to complete 6 days of water fasting, having started the journey prepared for something challenging, too hard and I was prepared to take the alternative route.

This was the first Formal I did in summer and that was incredibly blissful!!!!!!

Jos-hua, in his wisdom, said I would be fine, and he was right. How great to be in a learning situation where you can without doubt time and again, surrender to Jos-hua's greater experience and knowledge beyond your own fears and stories!

The space of this formal retreat allowed me to surrender to the space inside, via mediatation and reflection. As I was not at home I explored different body work modalities - nothing like a change to give some different perspectives and connect with other healers, genuinely able to nuture and move energy. Also to realise if you go looking and asking of the universe there are always people to find who can assist with healing and change.

Of course I wasn't alone, and this is pivital, my connection with the group and fellow concurrent cleansers was the golden thread that fed me the elixer of courage, humour, companionship, and the space to share. I could not have done this alone without the connection to HPS.

In the bigger picture I must acknowledge that I am in such a process of change, I do not know who I am at this time . So explorations continue to deepen in the areas of mind, spirit, emotion, love, consciousness, physical intimacy and the question of what am I really here for,,,

In the past I think I have shared lists of this and that that have changed post cleanse...I want to mention two things that seem little but....In relation to eating,my swallow reflex has lenghtened and my ability to chew much much longer without that 'whoops just swallowed' as that reflex kicked in...I am amazed how long a can chew a mouthful for, how long I can extend a meal time, actually sit down, be the last one left eating (unheard of) and feel satisfied by a bowl of food.

Secondly my nails. I thought I was just a practical type that prefered short nails. I realise in the past, they got to a certain length, not very long, would catch or split, so I cut them short, very short. Now they seem so much more longer and so strong and I don't notice them or have that need to get them out of the way - they are not catching or splitting instead, my middle left finger nail is getting cut short when I chop the veggies. when I go to cut them I almost wonder if the clippers are going to get though When change like this occurs I think deep internal physical changes are definately taking place!

It seems like the cleansing really kicked in - you are experiencing such great changes! You are confirming what Jos-hua said - that each new experience goes deeper. I like the question of what are you really here for. I had this question for years - albeit not quite daily, and maybe that I was led to HPS. Probably right now I need to continue cleansing and purifying until it just - bang! - becomes obvious.

Hm, I should pay more attention to my chewing... you are an example!

Hi Belinda,

You know, I didn't realize until you posted this that this section was for Reviews AND Testimonials, thought for a moment that you were about to do another L4 cleanse...well anyway, it's a great idea to come back after a period of reflection to review the cleansing experience, and I remember your L4 too as a confluence of outstanding environmental and other factors perfect for a real transitionary experience. All cleanses have their memorable moments, but I'll bet that entire week (and longer) stays vivid in your memory for the rest of your life.

Cleansing is definitely a big part of the self-discovery process, like polishing the mirror so we can see ourselves more clearly. Glad to see that you're still very much in the process, despite the difficulties it can sometimes cause in daily life.

Adrian, I have gone in and out of this question oall my life! More recently with Eckhart Tolle I am strating to understand some finner distinctions....what is my inner pupose?....to awaken. As distinct to what is my outer purpose....and to align that with my inner purpose...

Alan and Rick, I love your energies! Yes rick I noticed that some time back and somehow what I wanted to (try to) share felt more like a review...more for the hps community vs something more public...and I know it goes out there too.

and Robin I just caught up with you. thank-you for your encouragement here.

Hi Belinda-

You sound pretty good and your review/testimonial was a good thing for me to read now too.

The question of who am I and what is my purpose is something I think I've asked myself all of my working life, being in a string of sweat shop type jobs. (At least in my mind.) Ugh. There's gotta be more to life, etc.

Awakening and aligning would certainly put those types of jobs into better and more comfortable perspective I think. But then again, if I had been more awakened and aligned would I have been in those jobs in the first place? Hmm.

Anyway, it seems to me too that purpose in life is to also grow, learn and enjoy it all.

You are a true light here and this post has made me think about my thoughts on purpose etc. Cool.

If you are feeling confused, also know that when there is confusion, something will soon be learned. And you will have a bit more wisdom to add to your life.

Cheers to tardiness! I am glad you wrote when you did. It sounds like this was the appropriate time to reflect on your level 4 experiences, both of the formal and the now...

It's awe inspiring to hear you say you do not know who you are at this time... simply because it frees you, unties you, lets loose the human spirit. Usually we are programmed into having to know exactly who we are (or claiming so, ha!), but how moved am I by you not knowing, or claiming to know. Because I don't know either... isn't it wonderful!? Our journeys continue

Procrastination-you got it bad lol ha ha...This made me laugh sweetly

I believe I arrived here when you were going through your formal level 4, so I was a little shy to comment much, but I remember thinking 'so this is how a pro does it' . Being by the beach, meditating alone without family distractions and away from your usual surroundings-at the time that's exactly where I wanted to be.

You know, when I listen to others speak (who have a strong spiritual awareness) and they discuss the question of 'what is my purpose' I cannot remember one coming up with a tangible answer. It never seems to be anything one can obtain, or touch or see.

Wherever your answer lies, and when it comes to your awareness, that will be a day of celebration

Finding your purpose is the ultimate goal of life. You should go to amazon.com, look up "Sacred contracts" by Caroline Myss and read the synopsis, I found those few sentences very helpful.

I believe you cannot know your purpose using the conscious mind, you can just feel it using introspection, looking deep inside you. It's all about a state of being...

One well known Indian guru - Paramahansa Yogananda, who was sent by his master in the West to help people and author of the famous "Autobiography of a yogi" - said that it's not important to seek powers (like qigong masters do), but to realize who you really are. He founded the "Self Realization Fellowship".

Probably this doesn't make too much sense... It wouldn't have for me a while ago.

I was already aware of Caroline Myss, but never read her books so far.

Just on this subject too. I had a newsletter from Hay House publishers informing me of the latest message from Dr. Wayne Dyer-wishing to talk about the wisdom of Tao. I was amazed and so happy for the connection! I have never heard him even mention this at his previous lectures or books-fab!

Adrian, so much to take in eh!!!! I mentioned somewhere that earlier in the year peter put alot of my 'books' (loosely catagorized in the self help, spiritual realm) away...the self help variety....quite a moment really but it has meant that I have chosen to really focus on one book at a time and not move on, or have several others also on the go, until I finish it (or decide I've read enough of that) I've even ventured into reading a novel....and dvd.....Ram Dass 'Fierce Grace' is deeply profund, I highly recommend.

I seem to be finding a middle way in many areas now and this is one...variety with the intellectual input...a good thing

and Stephen great to hear from you...yes I am wanting to head into a formal no later than september...so I guess that means I will be in the master faster realm soon.

and Jos-hua, I always love hearing from you - thanks for the validation - when I greatfully receive that without the need to have it...I'll know I have made some progress

it is a dvd - a doco - about the experience of 'being stroked' as he says....he had a stroke some 9 years ago I think, as he was writing about the experience of growing old. He has a web site and I think you can get it through that. probably www.ramdas.com....?

Belinda, The last time I saw him speak it was in NYC and he spoke just about that, the humility of his stroke and the gifts he received from him having for once in his life of "asking for help" instead of giving. Receiving is also a gift. It was really incredible.

great testimonial... so much growth these last 4 cleanses... so much knowledge experienced into wisdom ... thats what its all about. I love that line you put about 'not knowing who you are right now'... maybe its what we should all be striving for... I think its only in the space of not knowing who you are that you can feel who/what you are ... or that you are just nothing/everything and one with all... if that makes any sense (I don't think its supposed to make sense when you try to explain it with words, but you get what i mean. Anyways, sorry to ramble... lovely to see you here and thanks for stopping at my thread!
