Karen_M, Age 52, 7DW Level 2, Introduction, Domestic Goddess

Last fall, I was sitting with my best friend, over a Grande Latte, giving voice to my never ending weight battle. She said, "Karen, you are a beautiful woman, why can't you be happy with that?" Even from a dearest friend, that sounded so much like the dreaded, "Oh, but you have such a pretty face" (never, ever said to someone who isn't at least 30 pounds overweight) that the alarms inside of me went off, and it was time to do SOMETHING.

Surfing the web for some magic bullet, I (thankfully) stumbled upon HPS.

Honestly evaluating my situation; a family history of colon cancer, increasing fatigue, lack of motivation, all of the aches and pains I associated with aging, a list of prescription medication which was growing at an alarming rate -- it was obvious that weight was only a small part of my problem.

I started my Level 1 cleanse full of fear and hope, and was rewarded beyond my expectations. I have a level of energy I had forgotten. I take 2 prescription pills daily now, not 6 or 7. I'm treating my body better in all ways, and it is returning the favor tenfold. The weight is coming off at a regular rate (sorry, no magic bullet there - but no calorie counting or carb-avoiding either) that leaves me optimistic. I have a clarity of mind (and skin) that I am enjoying.

And more than anything, I feel that (for probably the first time ever) I am the one making decisions for my short and long term health.

The support of fellow cleansers has been absolutely critical to this process.

I know this is the path for me and I want more.

Peace,
Karen_M

Hey Karen! Can it be time for level 2 already? I seriously thought you just finished a couple of weeks ago. It's amazing, people don't realize one of the key things about fasting, even for a week, is that the time zips by just as quickly as it does for everything else, and then one day you're 2 months or 6 months down the road, and depending on how you've played your post-cleanse, reaping the rewards of several successive months of good living.

So great to see you back for the next level. It's like you say, it isn't a magic bullet for anything, but it doesn't take long for the incremental gains to add up to something huge.

Rick

Truly you are an inspiration Karen! You seem to be advancing up the cleansing ladder very rapidly, yet understand at the same time that it is a journey and not a "magic bullet". I think this is the best of both worlds.

I've read of people who have a family history of this problem or a family history of that disease and some of them as a preventive measure actually get that particular organ or tissue removed. Can you imagine!!

There's so much miss-information circulating. Isn't it wonderful that this program and the self practioners here are light years beyond anything else out there.

I hope your level 2 cleanse will be very productive and beneficial.

Karen, already signed up for level 2? I guess I've been missing for too long .
I think the magic bullet is that you start taking your health in your own hands.

Looking at your progress, it's very likely you won't need the current medication after this next cleanse.

You will get more of what you want! I'll quote from your previous introduction to see what I mean:
Quote:
I have fasted/detoxified/cleansed/whatever over the years with teas/powders/whatever but still wonder about the "five pounds of putrified meat..." If it's true, I want it gone. If I can be more spiritually, emotionally and mentally connected with this amazing life, well, I want that, too.

Love and light,

Wow Karen, already forging on to L2 huh? Is 4 weeks long enough for a post cleanse between levels? If so then I commend you for your fortitude in advancing your health! To echo what Adrian said, I wouldn't be surprised if you needed to be on your current medication after your next cleanse.

Also glad to hear you are reaping the physical (and some mental I'm sure) benefits of cleansing. Speaking of which, have you managed to stay smoke free? I know I've asked this question a couple times before, but you didn't answer that I remember. I don't mean to be pushy, but I believe very strongly that good health cannot be attained while still smoking cigarettes. I only ask because I care!

Hopefully L2 will open up other parts of your body and increase the good feelings you are already feeling.

Peace,
Aaron

Hi Karen,

Good to see you making the move to level 2...and also hearing of the benefits you have derived from your first cleanse... Nothing like feeling lighter and having more energy... Good luck as you start out with you pre cleanse...

Yes it does fly, doesn't it? I finished my L1 Novemer 12, for L2 I'm looking at Jan. 22, giving me enough time for Christmas , a Hawaii vacation , and a nice, leisurely pre-cleanse .

The feelings that I have today are so good, I want to expand upon them. Starting the process now just allows me time to calmly gather what I need.

I know I sound pretty serene, in fact I am totally pumped !

Peace,
Karen

have a great holiday Karen!

You are well positioned to have a better time now than ever before, surely much better positioned than any time in the last decade , so enjoy.

When one enjoys good health, life becomes good, eh? And happiness becomes the call of the day. And helping others becomes a part of ones life.

Peace sister, you're doing great and I look forward to your 7DW level 2 as we enter the new year 2007.

Wishing you all the best, love and light, jos-hua

I hear what you're saying about taking control and making choices for the first time ever. It feels like you're on a treadmill of ill health before you start the cleansing path and then suddenly you jump off and WOW you choose whether to get ill or not. It's totally wicked. All the best for next level.

Hey there Karen, I don't know how I missed this thread before, but here I am now! Going through my own cleanse I'm starting to see how this all works. So I am very very glad for you that you are almost ready for level 2 already. Seems like you just finished your first cleanse, but why not keep a good thing going. You are on a roll, keeping up with your post cleanse and going for level 2. It's not instant but wow what a change 14 days can make, about as close to a magic bullet as you can get. But no, yet who cares it's a path, and like you said you are on it and not getting off. Good to hear.

Hey Karen

Wow! I was away from the forums for a while and in that time you finished your level 1 cleanse (I'm really sorry I missed it!) and are back for level 2! Congratulations! You will surely benefit enourmously from moving on in such quick time. I'm inspired by your motivation. I hope level 2 will bring even bigger changes for you! I'll make sure I give you some support this time.

Ben

Aloha Karen! I hope your Christmas, New Years and Hawaii vacations went well! It looks like you and I will be cleansing at the same time, me from the 18th - 25th and you starting on the 22nd. Great! We can go at it together in a sense. Talk to you soon I'm sure.

Peace and Love,
Aaron
